I’m from Nacogdoches and was trying to find somewhere to take my two girls for their first haircuts. Since they both have curly hair, I really wanted someone who knew how to work with curls. I couldn’t find much locally, so we decided to make the trip to Sharkey’s in Tyler, and I’m so thankful we did!The girls had such a wonderful experience! They absolutely loved their hairstylist and kept talking about how nice she was. They even asked if they could come back again — which made me so happy because I was worried they might be nervous about getting their hair cut.They went above and beyond to make their first haircuts special. They received a lollipop, balloon, and a certificate with a piece of their hair to remember the day. 🥹💕 Those little touches made such a big difference and gave us something special to keep from such an important milestone.They also have some inexpensive little toys, which the girls loved.I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better first haircut experience for my girls. It was absolutely worth the drive from Nacogdoches, and we will definitely be back! 10/10 experience! ✂️🎈💕Thank you Ashley!!

Angie was really great with my child. She has a wonderful personality, great customer service skills, and made the experience for my child amazing. She is friendly and talks with the child. You can tell she does this because she enjoys it. If you’re having trouble deciding who to pick for your appointment I highly recommend Angie. My child is also on the spectrum and she made her feel comfortable on her own pace.

Gracye(sorry if I spelled it wrong) was very sweet and gentle with my two year old son. He doesn't have issues getting his hair cut once started but he doesn't like to sit and be touched, she was patient with him and got him comfortable. We discussed how short I wanted it and how. She delivered! She took her time and the end results, I was pleased. I will be going back to her. They also have balloons for kids and that was a huge YAAY! for my son. Thank you again, Gracye!!!

This is the place for kid cuts! Took our boys in this afternoon and the ladies were so kind and helpful. I never know how to describe the cuts for the boys and they kept it easy and took care of us. They were super sweet to us and our kids. Both the boys look great and this is definitely our go to now.

We took our 4-year-old son to Sharkey’s today, and he was very scared and crying a lot at first. The girls working there were absolutely amazing. They were so patient with him and took their time helping calm him down, even though it took a while because he was super anxious. They never once seemed frustrated or rushed him. By the end, he was comfortable and got his haircut done and didn’t want to leave!I seriously cannot recommend Sharkey’s enough, especially for parents with nervous little ones. Their kindness and patience meant so much to us. Thank you for making what could have been a stressful experience such a positive one!
