When the time came and went, we (we being myself and my girlfriend) texted Andrew Elghawaby to ask for an ETA. Andrew responded with, "10 minutes out". Well after 10 minutes, we asked again and he called this time advising us that he messed up and scheduled us for the wrong day, even though we verified with him prior to booking them for 12/5/23 at 0900 hours and after officially booking them. He said he was sorry and would send two guys to us around noon. So now I'm set 3 hours behind schedule when I work at a Hospital and it's not easy to just have time off. I was very upset and Andrew, after me explaining how his oversite cost me time I did not really have to waste, and his error cost my family as they were helping with the move and took the day off to help me, and only after asking him for a discount due to this major oversite, he only offered a 10 percent discount. So, I saved $40 dollars which I tipped the movers for this $410 job that Andrew charged me for. I already had almost all my boxes and stuff I wanted moved downstairs in the lawn waiting for them. When they finally arrived, the two men, Mark and Sergio, went so slow, and I mean super slow. They would carry one box at a time even little light boxes. They would take breaks frequently and would go to the front of the truck on and off during the move, only when I went upstairs, I noticed. So, a few times when I went upstairs, I would turn around right away and see Mark and Sergio discussing something and staring at me. I was getting so frustrated, so I told them I would just load up my stuff. They told me I couldn't be on the truck which I understand for insurance purposes, but I wanted them to actually work and not just drag their feet trying to run up my time. Then as they moved one of my three TV's, Sergio made a weird comment about stealing my TV. He said, "I'll go ahead and take this one home." I didn't' laugh nor find it funny as I was already frustrated with being 3 hours behind. Once they finished (over an hour later) loading up the truck with my stuff, that I wanted moved which wasn't much, we finally were able to get on the road and take my stuff to the new place. Mind you I brought mostly everything down to them and stacked it next to the truck and all they had to do was put it in the truck since I was not allowed to help with that part. We gave clear and detailed directions to the location we were going and the movers said they would just meet us there and I said no, I will be leading you and you will be following me. So, Mark and Sergio followed me but drove going about 45 on the freeway and tried to continue going south when I was in the lane to go west. He then suddenly veered across a few lanes on the freeway and got behind me. I found this odd, like he wanted to make a stop first or go the long way all the way around the south valley. When we finally arrived at the new place, I told them to just put everything in the garage, I did this due to how slow this whole process was. After they finally finished unloading, I had to pay for an extra 30 minutes. I tipped them which I really wish I hadn't because I discovered after trying to go set up my room right away after they left, that my open top box with my white Xbox one, two headsets (black and grey), tv wires/connections for my smart TV, my black connector box and my black Xbox controller were all gone. These items were all packed in one box and I trusted these people (which I know I shouldn't have) with my stuff and they stole it. We then called Andrew and told him what happened and he said he would call both Mark and Serigo and ask if they know where that box is. Naturally, neither of them saw the box and both said they didn't steal/take the box. Like they would even admit that. Andrew got really defensive after a long discussion and me ultimately deciding that I will be filing a police report and contacting the BBB reference this incident. He started to say there was no proof they even moved us that day. I have this conversation recorded which thankfully I did since he wants to be sleezy and try to pull a fast one. I saved all the text messages and even told Andrew he is required to send me a receipt. Weirdly enough, he texted the receipt with the fine print saying they basically have a license to steal your stuff and not be responsible for it. Funny thing is he never sent me this prior nor advised me of the information contained and it even says on the paper he sent that this contract had to be signed prior to Joe's Moving sending anyone to move your belongings. The customer signature area is blank because he never showed me this contract nor had me sign it prior to Mark and Serigo coming and moving my stuff and also stealing some of it. All of this is on voice recording as well as text documentation and video documentation from my security cameras they apparently didn't notice. I told Andrew that I would need Mark and Serigo's last names for the police report and BBB claim and he refused and hung up. We called back and he had the nerve to say we were bullying him and that we are ridiculous and tried to imply we are falsely reporting or "claim jumping" as he called it. I'm sure I forgot some details as I'm very pissed off typing this up but the moral of the story is DO NOT EVER USE JOE'S MOVING!!! You clearly can't trust them with your stuff and they will have each other's backs and just deny, deny, deny. Interesting story, when I told my dad about this he said when he used to be a mover, he saw a lot of guys pocket jewelry and steal items all the time especially if they moved far or out of state because it would be hard to prove. We are so disappointed…paid $1500 and the damages discovered after were a lot. We did not bother pointing out anything else since they did not care about the broken TV. We figured why bother. Of course they have you sign a form stating nothing was damaged right as they leave. And everything is piled high everywhere, so it’s hard to tell until the weeks to follow once getting everything settled. We will not be using them again nor will we recommend them. All Andrew cares about is greed. It's all about the money for him! They damaged every single piece of furniture we have! The movers and Andrew kept complaining the entire time, argued with my husband about anything and everything every step of the way, even became physically confrontational. The movers asked us for food. We could smell alcohol eminating from both movers. They were on their cell phones for the majority of the time! This was by far the WORST moving experience our family has ever had. We are actively consulting with our Family Attorney to file an impending Law Suit in the very near future! After waiting a few days, I checked in with Andrew about the refund and he left my message on read and I did not receive anything. I waited another week to reach out, and again, he read my message and never responded. My sister used All My Sons Moving, she had twice the amount of stuff as me and lived 45 minutes away from the new house and they did the job in less than 3 hours and were so friendly and kind. I showed them the stuff I had and told them my experience with Joe’s and they were appalled. I was completely taken advantage of and I’m so disappointed in this experience. And what we thought was only going to be a 6 hour, one truck job, two men job, turned into a 12 hour, two truck, 4 men job so we were really thankful to have them. They worked really hard to get all our stuff moved. It was so nice to have to worry having to move anything more and although we spent more than we thought we would, it was worth it because trust me, it's a lot of work and a lot of trips! To think 4 guys and 2 26' foot trucks moved all our stuff! That would have taken us awhile in a car. Now it's done and we can just unpack in our new house. Those guys worked hard and moved it where we wanted it in the new house. All the way up until 10pm, in the dark because we had no electricity at our new house! They used their flashlights on their phones! And apparently they had to wake up early the next day for another job! And they only took like one break. They moved anything I told them to move too. Folks if you have one cochroach you do not want to call this mover. However here are the stats: ". . . According to the National Pest Management Association, 63 percent of homes in the United States contain cockroach allergens. That number rises to between 78 and 98 percent in urban area homes." Moreover, my friend did not have feces anywhere except properly in a kittylitter box, and NO she did not have bed bugs. This mover has apparently used any slander to get out of carrying a heavey couch which is a bed pull out down ONE FLIGHT of stairs on a FRIDAY of a holiday wkend where my friend, and elderly woman, needed him to fullfill his contract, which he did not. Again if he was resourceful he would be ready to take apart the metal pieces of such a couch and take them down the stairs and put them back together at the new place. Instead he harrassed and belittled his customer, trying to make it her fault that he would not touch her CLEAN COUCH which I have personally sat on this week!!!! AGAIN if Mr. Joe, makes good on his TWO agreements, I will change the rating. Less

They get paid by the hour so imagine them purposely taking their time when the moving would only take a minimum two hours. If the Movers are "tired" maybe find Men who can handle this type of job and not make excuses or rather don't overbook them! To top things off, the GM will let you know if you are not satisfied with the work, that "the job got done right?" There is nothing he can do about the price or the fact that he allows three hours late to a job as acceptable and still expects you to pay his fee. If you call from a business line, don't expect him to answer, but call from your personal phone he will answer and text you 24/7. Unfortunately I can't leave no stars but if I could I would. They arrived at about 1:45 pm and while they said they were going to wait for another truck, no other truck showed so they begun loading. 2 men came , they were very quick and i was impressed with how many very heavy items they accomplished to move down steep steps. The only thing they did not do was wrap any items, they only put blankets over items for protection. Once at the new home, they were once again very efficient, and quick. However there was some damage on the walls going up the stairs (minor paint chips) and we all damage to the outside stucco on in the courtyard entrance. The last thing they brought up was a mattress and unfortunately they didn't cut the corner well and the mattress was torn very deep from the Bannister. Luckily it was on the bottom, but it was a very expensive mattress nonetheless. The men were very apologetic and did say they would report the damage to their manager. However nothing ever came of reporting it. Over: Staff was friendly from Manager to Movers, Service was good, while late, they didn't waste time while moving the items, they worked very hard and were very nice. Quality is okay- older trucks and no wrapping of items. Some collateral damage did occur, unsure of insurance policy regarding damages. Less

Sleep Number bed was assembled incorrectly (we paid overtime and extra tip to insure it was done correctly). We had to order new parts to fix it, it was costly and both my husband and I are ill, so it was a physical hardship. We contacted the manager 3x regarding the floors immediately upon finding the floor damage (unfortunately we had already given him a good review), we sent pictures etc...HE NEVER HAD THE PROFESSIONALISM, COURTESY,CONCERN OR RESPECT to even respond. We will have to pay our landlord for a new floor in the small bedroom. ****don't use them, it's a mistake, half the price will financially cost us 4x more than we expected. A local ABQ moving team met us on arrival for Move In but left us within 15 minutes as I "disrespected" them when I suggested the loveseat could fit in the up stairs office. This unnamed team DIDNT EVEN TRY. They took the prepay money, drove away, abandoning me and my driver in the setting sun without ever moving in a single box or piece of furniture!! I was stranded with a full UHaul! So glad we found Joes Moving LLC!. They REALLY came to the rescue! I consider Joes Moving LLC the hidden gem of ABQ! Why would I stop them from working when they were on the clock just to chat?? My house is approx 1000 sq ft. 3 bedrooms 1 bath. Single car garage and a shed. Everything was boxed up and ready to move. Items scattered is totally false. I had already wrapped my pics and art. They did none of my packing nor did they wrap any of my items or furniture. The owner is in a dream state trying to make it look like they busted butt. Hardly the case. They had to take it to my new residence because they took too long to off load and my storage place closes at a certain time. They did me no favors I paid dearly for there service!!!! I don’t need any prayers from this guy. He better pray that he doesn’t loose any business for sorry service. The driver had to repack my outdoor items because he did it wrong which added 1 extra hr while the other guy stood there and watched. They couldn’t get all my items. Again that wasn’t mentioned and I’m sure his driver failed to mention that to him. I let the driver know that I wasn’t happy with the total hrs it took to do the job when I seen the total bill. Owner failed to mention that. If anything I hope anyone who is thinking of using this company thinks twice and goes elsewhere. Lastly the owner Andrew mentioned to me when we first talked he was surprised that it was taking so long. He mentioned that he thought they would be done by 2:00 pm vs barely leaving my house to the storage at 2:00 pm. He can paint any picture he wants. I know what went on.
