Post on behalf of Steph Mulligan -I'm so lucky to of found this dentist. I have a massive phobia to the point I cry whilst waiting, start vomiting and shaking.I tried a few years ago and backed out. New Year and all that I tried again. I met with a lovely dentist Diviya and Nurse Anna. Not to mention Emma. First appointment went well I agreed to have my teeth cleaned. Today I went back and had not 1 but 3 fillings. I never in a million years thought I would do this and here I am less than an hour after my appointment all back to normal. No pain at all felt. I had a previous bad experience with the injection but they did absolutely everything to keep me calm. I never felt the injection go in, no side effects. Just amazing. Diviya is very calming and reassuring and allows you to be in full control.After 2 nights of not sleeping I actually fell asleep in the chair.Emma so is lovely, patience of a saint. Kept me calm on both occasions in the waiting area.I have a long way to go but my long term goal is invisalign. I will slowly get there with the help of these guys ❤️ Less

Today i visited The Tooth Spa due to my dentist who I won’t name cancelling twice in a week my emergency appointment for a tooth extraction. Before the phoned, I wasn’t registered with The Tooth Spa, and was expecting a ‘Sorry we can’t help’. Said it wasn’t a problem and didn’t want me to be in anymore pain and would go the extra mile to sort me today Anyway, i was in the dentist within the hour and was seen by Ellie the dentist and within 20minutes the tooth was out and i was on my way home. As for pricing.. very very reasonable to say it was an emergency appointment. (This was Monday 20th Jan) I was seen by the dentist, I explained that my tooth had previously been filled but had broken away around the filling. I also explained that I knew there was either an infection or abscess due to the pain and disgusting tas... More

I had extreme tooth ache and called The Tooth Spa as they are the nearest dentist to where I live. I was able to get an appointment that afternoon. (This was Monday 20th Jan) I was seen by the dentist, I explained that my tooth had previously been filled but had broken away around the filling. I also explained that I knew there was either an infection or abscess due to the pain and disgusting taste in my mouth. The dentist x-rayed my mouth and confirmed the tooth breakage and the abscess. The dentist gave me two options, root canal or extraction. obviously I chose extraction, why would anyone try to rescue a tooth that had previously been filled and broken away? The tooth was removed fairly quickly and after paying £156 for the treatment I was done. However I was not given any antibiotics for the abscess just advised to rinse my mouth with salt water starting the following day. Which I did, every couple of hours. (After speaking with Adam he explained that it is common practice not to prescribe antibiotics as extracting the tooth usually gets rid of the abscess). On Thursday (23rd of Jan) I called them up as I was in excruciating pain. I was told to be with them within half an hour. A different dentist looked at my mouth, rinsed it with mouth wash packed the tooth socked and finally prescribed some antibiotics. Please note that it has been 10 years since my last visit to a dentist, so things have definitely changed in the processes in that time. which is why I though antibiotics should have been given in the first place. I have to say that Ellie was amazing, I have a really bad gag reflex and at no point in the extraction did I feel the need to gag. This might be because I wanted that bad boy out of there so bad but most likely Ellie's skills. Katerina was also really good on my return on the Thursday, I would like to know what you packed my socket with? It tasted horrible but it stopped the pain for quite some time. The pain I experienced was not down to the dentists, it's down to something called dry socket (Google it). Just follow whatever the dentist tells you to do. I feel the dry socket may have been partly down to myself needed a brew when I got home. If I ever need dental treatment in the future I will return to The Tooth Spa but not just yet. Recently had to have root canal surgery here over two treatments. Cannot fault the service received from all staff - from reception staff to the dentist, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Just returned from a disappointing experience at The Tooth Spa, which is unfortunate given the excellent reviews. The dentist examined me and then offered to clean my teeth. As the examination itself had only lasted around 10 minutes, I assumed that this would be part of the new patient examination. When I came to pay, I was surprised that it was double the amount I was expecting. The receptionist explained that this was because I’d had my teeth cleaned, but I was not advised that this would cost me double today. In fact, I was not advised of any extra cost prior to this taking place. Of course, I would be happy to pay an amount that had been previously agreed, but this was not the case. In my opinion, this is quite poor customer service as customers should be informed of any additional costs prior to carrying out work. As the reviews seem good, I am sure there are plenty of people who are happy with their experiences here. For me, I’m going to return to my old practice even if it means a longer journey as they’re more reliably priced. Less

I visited this this practice yesterday evening for emergency dental treatment. All I can say Is I've always been extremely nervous of the dentist , but I didn't have to worry this time. The staff were so polite and professional . The receptionist was welcoming and put me at ease. I visited the Asian gentleman dentist and he was fantastic. The lady dental nurse could see I was nervous and spoke calmly and was great offering a stress ball to hold.. My whole experience has changed my view on dentists.
