I found Jayy on Instagram, by accident, after moving to Orange County and needing a new hair stylist. I’m so glad I took a chance and went for that consult. I never know what I want for my hair, but Jayy has great ideas. My hair has never looked better. Even though I’ve moved back to LA, I still make the trip to Costa Mesa just for Jayy to do my hair.

Absolutely love seeing Jay! Been seeing her for a few years now. She’s taken my hair from a box died black, to my natural blonde, and now to a pretty caramel. My hair feels healthier than ever. She so sweet and fun to talk to. And I trust her so much with my hair that sometimes I just read a book or even close my eyes to relax because it so relaxing lol. Her installation is seamless and last me until I need them reinstalled. And the salon is clean and beautiful. I also appreciate that it’s her own salon room because big salons give me anxiety.

Jay is truly an exceptional stylist. She’s taken me from my natural brunette to blonde and now back to brunette. She nails it every single time. I was so happy I trusted her to touch my virgin hair and I keep coming back for mere. What I appreciate most is how invested she is in her clients, the pride she takes in her work, and that she only uses the best products. I also love her private studio. It’s so much better to feel that one on one connection and privacy rather than being in a busy salon with multiple people. She’s not only has talent, but she’s truly an artist who genuinely wants you to feel your best. I’m so grateful for her and highly recommend her to everyone I know.

I came to Jay back in 2023, after having had a bad experience elsewhere. When I came to Jay my hair was damaged, not the color I wanted, and it wasn’t growing.I came to her initially wanting to go blonde but she objected. I was taken aback a little since that’s not the usual answer you get, but now after years of coming to her I’m so glad she did and I stuck it out with her.She took a more sustainable and slower approach than bleaching and damaging further. She was honest and let me know this was going to take time but it would be worth it long term for the health of my hair. We have been at this for a little bit of time but I am finally the blonde I wanted to be, while not compromising my hairs health. I’ve gotten regular trims with her and I swear she has made my hair grow after such a long time of being stagnant.I can’t recommend Jay enough, it is so hard to come by a solid hairdresser that not only does a good job, but is as honest and transparent as she is. She truly has become a friend and such a kind soul I look forward to seeing at hair appts.

This weeks absolute win was meeting Jay- my precious stylist is retired and I needed to find a stylist that could work with my hair ASAP.I cannot say enough positive things about this very talented gal!! I put my trust in her hands and she delivered above and beyond of what I had expected.In fact, when I walked in-I had no idea what I really wanted-had different styles/blondes/tones inspirations and ideas. She handled my hair with so much care and the special touch was day 2 of my session. She was incredibly prepared- she said I know you asked for this…but here’s what I think you were really asking for and she nailed it!!P.S. to the influencer that put a spotlight on Jay!!! I can’t recommend hairbyjayy enough! From the moment I walked in, I felt so comfortable and welcomed. She really listened to what I wanted and went above and beyond to make sure my hair came out exactly how I pictured it (even better, honestly!). My cut/color/style looks amazing, and I’ve been getting compliments nonstop. On top of being super talented, she’s also so sweet and professional it feels like catching up with a friend while getting your hair done. Great hairstylist !! 😍😍
