Elle Pastry is such a gem! The fruit-shaped pastries were incredible, beautifully crafted and just as delicious as they looked. The coffee was artfully presented and tasted great, and the cakes were exceptionally fresh. The ambience and overall vibe were immaculate, and Ellie was genuinely warm and welcoming. Everything was beautifully presented, and the pastries and drinks we tried were very good.One thing I found a little confusing was the additional charges for the drinks. I ordered an Americano and was charged extra for cream. I can understand this since an Americano normally doesn’t come with cream or milk, so that was acceptable.However, I was surprised that the iced matcha drink also had an extra charge for syrup. I didn’t ask for extra syrup, so I’m not sure why there was an additional fee. I would have thought the syrup was already part of the drink.The paper price list displayed at the counter doesn’t mention any additional charges for cream or syrup, and the server didn’t inform us about these extra charges when we ordered. It would be much better if any additional fees were clearly listed on the menu or explained to customers before the order is placed.Overall, the pastries are beautiful and tasty, and we enjoyed them. A little more transparency with the drink pricing would make the experience much better.
