You ensured that I understood important principles about the ocean (which totally apply to life as well) and the art of surfing. Within the first 30 seconds of the theory part of our first lesson, I knew IMMEDIATELY: this is my teacher FOR LIFE! :) You were very attentive to what my surfing goals were and brought different options of bords for me to play with. I felt like I had 150% of your care and attention while surfing together. You set me up for success on as many waves as possible, you closely observed my wipeouts and gave me precise instructions on how to correct myself (you elevated my awareness of what was going on!). Not only did you tell me what waves to take and how, you explained WHY. You wanted to give me the tools to one day be the bad ass surfer that I want to be! Pedro/Ocean Tribe surf school is top notch! I’ve had several surf instructors during my surf career and Pedro is the best of them all- he’s super patient, knowledgeable, and all around a great person. I met Pedro in the most undesirable situation. I was caught on a strong rip current and was unable to make it back to shore. Pedro saw me struggling and automatically come to help me. He paddle me out to safety and comforted me not to be afraid of the ocean . Pedro brought back the joy of surfing to me - in the exact location, where I quit my surf carerr (which tbh has never really begun anyways) a few years earlier. You can tell that he loves the ocean so much! He is the kind of surf instructor who won't just stand there and tell you what to do. No, he will actually get in the water himself and help you tackle the whitewash. He helped me surf shoulders and towards the end of our session we even paddled out to the lineup! We stayed in the Ocean tribe accommodation and loved it! Pedro and Emilia were incredible hosts. They have incredible knowledge of the area and surf and helped us organise an ATV to use (peak season, this was not an easy task!).The accommodation was perfect, it had everything we needed for our stay and the location was excellent. 300m up the road an is an amazing cafe, a little further a great local Soda. The beach is 300m downhill, where you can literally walk for miles in both directions. We walked to Hermosa to surf where the waves were fun and quieter than other surf beaches.There is a shop very close by and a larger restaurant. Everything you need is all in one place.Also, lots of wildlife. Each morning we were woken by howler monkeys, you can see them moving through the tree canopy, and there are always butterflies and iguanas to watch.A perfect stay if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of the busy areas. This is a very special place. A beautiful cabin, perfect for 1 person or a couple, perfectly equipped with all you need for a special, relaxed holiday in a calm area. Pedro and Emilia put all their love to create a wonderful, cosy accomodation. The cabin is located in 5mins walking distance to absoluteley amazing, lonely beaches. A shop and a soda is nearby at the closest beach. A vehicle to get around is highly recommended. Einfach super schön und zum Wohlfühlen 😊 .Auch die Terrasse ist perfekt und durch die Überdachung kann man zu jeder Tageszeit draußen sitzen.Es ist wirklich alles genau so wie auf den Bildern und in der Anzeige. Ich würde sogar behaupten noch besser !Auch die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern Emilia und Pedro war super und sehr unkompliziert!Zwei so tolle Menschen, die so herzlich, unheimlich freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit sind. Wir haben uns vom ersten Tag an sehr willkommen gefühlt.Wir bekamen hilfreiche Informationen zu Restaurants, Supermarkt, Café etc.Während unserer vier Nächte haben wir zwei Surfstunden bei Pedro gebucht. Für uns war Pedro der beste Surflehrer, den man sich vorstellen kann. Es war ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt für uns. What a wonderful stay! Such a cute, cozy and well designed space with everything you need to escape and relax for the ultimate peaceful beach vacation. The kitchen was well equipped and we made multiple meals comfortably. A plus was the french press and blender for shakes! Only a 2 min walk to the most beautiful Manzanillo beach, away from the touristy and loud Santa Theresa (which is exactly what we were looking for). There is also a grocery store 3 min away with all items. We even at ate a great Soda in town! What is so unique about this space is the hand-craftsmanship of Pedro who built all the wooden furniture. So beautiful, well thought out and designed. The garden is beautiful with leaves for tea that was wonderful. We really felt we are staying in a special and warm home! Emilia and Pedro are so kind and made us feel so comfortable from the second we arrived. They were always available for anything we needed. They also own a surf and kite surfing school up front!
