i’m a Singer Entertainer and a venue hired me to perform Matt filmed my performance and he refuses to give me a copy of the video. He doesn’t understand. The artist has the legal rights and copyrights to any filming being done regardless of who pays for it. They have to OK everything through the artist. The law states the artist has the rights to any Recording and filming. My attorney called him and he’s very hardheaded. This is headed to court. he contacts me and gives me a copy that I am entitled to as the artist I’ll keep everyone updated, but please be careful. He’s not as honest as he comes off to be. this young man Matt promised me promise me that I could pick up a thumb drive or he would send it to me by email in this comment. He didn’t admit to anything like that so Matt be honest with your clientele and tell them you told me that I could pick up a copy(not an honest in business person) only even return my phone calls so he will experience the repercussions legally!
