we took our daughter for her first hair cut experience and it was so nice! It was a hour drive for us to get there and it was well worth it. From the design of the salon to the friendly greeting from reception! We were met with our stylist alma who was super patient with our daughter!! I’m extremely happy with the results and will be returning for all future cuts! Worth the trip 🤩

Sharkeys is the only place that our 4 year old son will let us take him for haircuts. They are fantastic, kind, and work with the parents to make sure everyone is happy with the cut. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

I will ONLY take my children to Yudi at Sharkey’s in Woodbury. I started bringing my son to Yudi around age 5. I had been taking him to a local barber and his little ear was nicked one too many times. The poor kid was traumatized and terrified to let anyone touch his hair. He would throw a massive tantrum. Yudi has a calm presence about her and shows the utmost respect for my son. She never forced or even tried to convince him to comply: she just gave him the space to come around in his own time. He also knows he can tell her his preferences and she’ll oblige. For example, he doesn’t really like being spritzed with water, so Yudi will spritz her hands instead and work it through his hair. He is now nearly 7. Yesterday I brought him in and he ran into Yudi’s arms for a hug. His haircut was peaceful and full of smiles as he regaled her with all of the things he’s been up to. The owner, Nicole, is also lovely and has squeezed me in when available times didn’t work for my schedule. If you have a child who does not like haircuts for any reason or you’re just looking for a new place, you want to visit Sharkey’s in Woodbury!

I love this place! Super cute and very friendly. Alma was accommodating with scheduling. Gladys cut my daughter’s hair and even took time to explain everything to me and how to style her hair. The aesthetic was fun and very clean. Highly recommend for children’s haircuts.

Nicole and Yudi are wonderful. When we first brought our baby for a haircut at 12 months, they were patient, kind, and Yudi gave a great haircut! Bonus: there’s a changing table in the bathroom too! We’ve been a total of 3 times and will continue to return. Thank you for making the haircut experience as seamless as possible.

Cannot say enough wonderful about our experience at Sharkey’s my kids have had the haircut at other places and it’s been a boring lame experience for them. This place is unbelievable not only did they wash their hair. They gave them adorable haircuts, mini manicures, adorable bows, adorable hairstyle hair, glitter, and a blowout for $40 for the price for the experience they are worth 10 times that.

Judy did an excellent job cutting my son’s hair at the Woodbury location. She was very kind, patient, and attentive throughout the entire haircut. She also listened carefully and followed all the instructions and requests we made as parents. We had a very positive experience and truly appreciate how comfortable she made our son feel. My son had his first haircut over the weekend. Yudi did a fantastic job. She was quick which was perfect to avoid an 11 month old meltdown but it wasn’t something that affected quality. We showed a photo and our son’s hair cut matched it perfect. She had great techniques and was so gentle with our son. They even gave us a cute certificate for his first haircut with a photo and piece of his hair. It was adorable. Would definitely recommend for a first experience!
