I can highly recommend attending the healing retreat with Niky and Dani at the Ridge at Maleny in the hinterland area of the Sunshine Coast Queensland.I had officially reached rock bottom when a friend referred me to Synergy Women by Niky Hamilton. Having never attended a 4 day retreat I had no idea of what I was signing up for. I found the whole experience life changing, I now have the tools to move forward with my life and an understanding that we all experience difficulties, hardship and challenges throughout our lives, how we navigate these challenges in a positive proactive way will allow me to take back control of my own life.I now know that changes do not need to happen overnight (baby steps) we are all on our own journey, how we navigate this journey has now become a little easier with the tools and skills learnt over the weekend.I now look forward to putting these new practices into place and finding joy in the little things, learning to love life again and continuing my own journey. My journey has not been easy the last 5 years. Losing an only child at 17 years old has drained me of life, feelings and hope. I did chose to try and help myself anyway I could with exercise, family and friends. This did help but I needed to get myself further over this enormous hill, that’s where Niky Hamilton came in. At first I listened to Niky online and following her facebook page Rise Up Women - Transforming Grief into Resilience. Then I was able to join in some free online sessions. When I first reached out to Niky at Rise Up I was heart broken, not sleeping and not eating and drinking myself to death. My 3 year relationship had failed and my partner had left me and then ghosted me. I was in a very dark place. Niky talked to me initiallythen offered me her 5 call service free of charge. I was desperate and confused and unsure anyone could help but I thought what have I got to lose? So we booked in our first session and I bawled my eyes out for at least 10 minutes of it. But then what Niky was talking to me about started to make sense.- the turning point for me was the “homework” to write down the things I DID NOT miss about ANNIEM. I thought there would be about 5. The list is 2 pages long and I add to it as the trauma in me subsides and I can clearly see the rot I put up with. My follow up sessions all had their own value and now for the first time in years I can see clearly. I highly recommend Niky and her program to anyone experiencing trauma. She has awakened me and I can see a happy future ‘for the persons that really matters. Me.

Well it's been a week since I completed the Rise up retreat, We all arrived and we didn't know anyone, we were apprehensive, everyone in different places in their lives. I had already been doing Niki's online modules which has helped me so much and I have been able to stop being reactive, being angry and sad. I was depleted and could not understand why as I had a good life. I have learnt so much and have put so many tools I have learnt to move forward when another big challenge happens. This retreat was amazing, hard, emotional and fun, I have walked away with new friends. I love that I have met women that also want to live their best life. Niky Hamilton is an amazing woman who has had her sadness and battles, and she really wants to help women to move out of grief, sadness, anger, hate etc. Dani who helps put the retreat together and offers cuddles, makes coffee, goes over and beyond, is an amazing woman. Wow! I just returned home from the retreat. I smiled all the way home. I feel like a new woman. I made some lovely friends, which is what I wanted, however, never expected to happen. I haven’t laughed so much in years. The content was wonderful and I learned sooo much. I now understand myself more and have more love for myself than ever before. Nicky is AMAZING! She is so knowledgeable, empathetic, compassionate, inspiring, passionate, energetic and HAPPY - her energy and zest for life ends up rubbing off on you. Dani was a fabulous support and always there for anything you need. The food, OMG, the food was fabulous. So healthy (every meal had every colour of the rainbow) and delicious! I thought I was a good cook - Claudette put me to shame! The venue was stunning, breathtaking views and beautiful cabins. I got more than I could ever have hoped for from the retreat and am looking forward to my new life with a new outlook and wonderful friends and new tools and strategies to use when things get tough. I entered the retreat a toxic, self sabotaging self hater. I believed I needed to work on my past trauma. 46 years worth. I was 100% wrong. Without Niky, Dani and my new 11 friends I would never be the excited, light, inspired Julie 2.0. I was anxious but ready to change. I entered a room full of women. 11 more Julie's. All in different form and different reasons for coming. Complete strangers. I had self isolated from the world by choice for years, I wasn't the only 1. Niky and Dani Welcomed us and made me feel warm and appreciated. They were SO proud of us for just getting there. I can tell you about the 5 star food, cabin's, views and wildlife which is beyond words, seriously. But I'd would rather say I committed to everything I could at the retreat. Yes it is hard at times but compared with what I had been through. I would use the word deep thought provoking. So worth the work. I killed my past Julie. I hated her. She allowed people in my life now to disrespect her in her own home. Her own children. Are you kidding me. So she had to go. This was a surprise to everyone at the retreat because you work on yourself. Especially Niky. Because to say I was going to kill her....but I explained. Hello, my name is Julie 2.0 and I'm happy. This is the most genuine emotional and practical life learning experience I've ever had. I was so sceptical and terribly unsure about being in a group of strangers. I thought it would be like a self help book with the standard "you can do it" lectures. Instead, you are guided towards identifying what isn't working which leads you to your own conclusions. There are tears and laughter but never judgement or criticism. It seems we all ended up in the same place in life from different directions. This is not a quick fix but then the things that we are dealing with were not created overnight. However, as I walk out the door into my life I have a plan to follow that I wrote for me and my challenges. I have a short list of concrete practical things to do. I choose to implement these from today. No one told me what to do or wrote the plan for me. Niky and her practical teaching just led me to the edge and when I looked over it was clear what the answers were. The plan may not be complete and may not be perfect but If I follow through something monumentally and indescribably amazing will happen in my life. I am forever changed.

Niky leads you through a mountain of information that she has gathered from a wide variety of sources over her own journey and presents it all in a warm, caring and easy to follow manner. Each session is highlighted by very real life examples and results in developing your own simple action plans for life after the retreat. Overall I found so many worthwhile little "nuggets" of information - together with some big bloody "bombshells" - that have helped me shift my thinking and move forward in shaping my own future.
