Both of my children attend Judo and absolutely love it! The expertise and teaching are exemplary - the leaders and lovely lads that support are super knowledgeable and full of positive praise. The balance between discipline, enjoyment and progression is top notch. My only criticism is price - it’s an expensive membership with grading costs involved too. Worth it, if you can afford it. The life skills of Judo are invaluable.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience at the judo academy where our 4-year-old has just begun training. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming and positive, perfect for young children stepping into the world of martial arts.The instructors are young, enthusiastic, and truly gifted at connecting with the kids. They build rapport quickly and maintain excellent command of the class, all while keeping things friendly and fun. It’s clear they genuinely care about each child’s progress and enjoyment.The class dynamics are fantastic, engaging, energetic, and thoughtfully structured. Every session is a joy not just for the children, but for the parents too. One of my favorite parts is spending time on the mat with my little boy, practicing takedowns and early judo movements together. It’s a beautiful bonding experience and a great way to be part of his learning journey.Highly recommended for families looking for a nurturing and exciting introduction to judo!

My son absolutely loves his judo class! The coaches Tony and Bas (apologies if spelt wrong) are fantastic, patient, encouraging, and great at helping the children feel confident. What I really value is that it’s not just about physical skills, they’re also learning emotional regulation, respect, and healthy boundaries. The balance of discipline and fun is spot on, so the kids stay engaged while also developing focus and resilience. I’ve noticed such a positive change in my son’s confidence, coordination, and ability to manage his emotions since he started. It’s a supportive environment where every child’s progress is celebrated. I couldn’t recommend it more!

We've been part of FFJ for four years now, and it's been an incredible journey for both my sons (ages 6 and 9) and I. They absolutely love their weekly classes, alongside the festivals FFJ put on throughout the year.Vince and Sam have built something truly special. As a complete beginner to judo (and a deeply introverted person) I'm impressed at how comfortable I feel at this club. I've only been attending for a couple of weeks, but the community is very welcoming and the coaches have an excellent instructional technique that puts students very much at ease.Overall, on the days that I can find the time and energy, I never regret attending a judo class here

The instructors are incredibly patient, skilled, and know how to keep the kids engaged while teaching important self-defense techniques. Not only is my child learning discipline and respect, but they are also gaining confidence and having so much fun at the same time!The environment is welcoming, and the coaches really emphasise safety, which was a huge relief for me as a parent. We have joined Fighting Fitness Judo over a year ago and I wish I knew about them earlier. Their training session encourages for both physical and mental training. Really recommend it to everyone at any age.

My son has been attending Fighting Fitness Judo for 3 months and has absolutely loved it from the minute he started. He felt at ease under the friendly coaches and was made very welcome by everyone in the class. He looks forward to classes and gets an incredible workout. I would recommend this for anyone at any age. I wish I had done this as a kid, it's great for their confidence building as well as strength and conditioning too. The classes always end with a game which is nice light hearted way to cool the class down and have a bit of fun.

Excellent team and teaching! My 8 year old is having a great time learning judo at Guildford branch of Fighting Fitness. I particularly appreciate the fact that Tony and the team found the way to manage his behaviour, in a way that enables my son to enjoy his classes and to progress.

My best decision to shut my son in these workouts. It started at the age of 4. Coach Dawn gave him the best possible first steps in this endeavor. Moved to the Bears, Coach Vince gives them a unique upbringing. It's just my son's other family. He walks with a unique desire and wants to achieve more and more peaks. All coaches are unique with a perfect approach to children and to every situation. The best.
