Attack Taekwondo

As someone who grew up a martial artist and now has my 11 year-old son enrolled in both Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (at a different location) and now Taekwondo, I’ve seen first-hand how an instructor sets the tone and culture of a school, gym, or dojo—or dojang, in this case. Sabom Lanre is a fount of energy and boundless enthusiasm (his skill in the art is of course quite evident as well), and he creates a culture of positivity that is unparalleled.I can only speak to what I’ve seen in the youth classes, but as opposed to the brutal shin-shattering borderline child abuse of training I endured as a military brat in the Far East, Sabom Lanre focuses on core values and a growth mindset while also teaching technique, flexibility, and the rest of a traditional Taekwondo curriculum. He’s not only fostering physical and technical growth, but helping give these kids some of the mental tools they need to focus, perform with intensity, and maintain discipline as they continue in life. If you’re trying to raise a killer this may not be the school for you, but if you want your child to get a good workout, learn pin-point technique, and grow as a human being this is the spot (and again, have only seen the kids classes—maybe they kick each other’s heads off in older classes 😂).And don’t get me started on the birthday party he hosted and provided the dojang for when my son turned 11—and this after attending only a month! Sabom Lanre makes you immediately feel like family, he is truly a good soul and a great role model—his is an influence you want in your child’s life!ETA: Since Attack Taekwondo has implemented a new training schedule that breaks up the student body by skill set and belt ranks—to include a Sport Taekwondo sparring-focused class my 12 year-old is enamored with—we are loving it EVEN MORE! Would give this place and its amazing steward Sabom Lanre six stars if I could!
