After struggling for a long time with my maths lessons in group sessions online, along with my revision, my partner suggested I start private 1 to 1 tutoring. She found Clara James Tutoring through one of our local social media sites which had been highly reccomeded. I was really struggling, having already taken a number of maths functional skills level 2 exams which I desperately needed to pass so I could start my nursing degree. I had always struggled with maths and was re taking many years later so I was out of practice . I was able to arrange very easily maths lessons to work around my time table of work and family life. I didnt even have to leave the comfort of my own home as Dawn was able to tutor me at my own house. All I can say is Dawn made all the lessons really interesting and easy to learn and remember what I had learned, which I had struggled with previous tutors. I was able to choose whatever I felt I needed to learn and Dawn made learning maths fun and enjoyable. I would highly recommend Clara James Tutoring, as after only a number of lessons I took the exam and passed. This has really boosted my confidence after seeing maths as one of my failures over the years . Would absolutely recommend Clara James Tutoring, my daughter has always struggled with maths and as she approached her GCSEs we were worried she wouldn’t pass. We got her a tutor via Clara James tutoring and soon enough she not only understood the questions being asked but she looked forward to the tutoring sessions and to getting better each week. During the sessions she learned a lot but also had fun. She passed her maths GCSE and it was at a much higher grade than she had been predicted, we could not be happier.

My child has been with Dawn from aged 9-13 years old. Dawn offers tailor made tutoring that suits the child. Lots of different approaches to learning and great games keep things interesting. My child likes being shown different ways to tackle questions and stratergies to help revision. We find Dawn very flexible and if my child wants to make everything 'Christmas themed' this week, Dawn will find a way.

We have been using Clara James tutoring for around 4yrs if not longer. For our home educated son. Initially Dawn came to our home but after covid we decided to stick to online. She has been more than accommodating with us switching from group sessions to single sessions, dual weekly sessions to fortnightly etc as our sons needs change over the years. He has built up a fantastic relationship with Dawn and really enjoys their sessions together. She's more like family than just a tutor. Dawn has been helping my daughter (Year 9) with her maths for the last few months. She has been great; finding clever ways (often through games) to teach the different topics. Dawn had worked hard to encourage and support my son who is now predicted to pass his GCSE maths. He has always struggled with maths throughout schooling and in his GCSE mocks he had got a grade U and was not predicted to pass. Dawn has been amazing she has worked in partnership with my son's maths teacher at school to ensure she was supporting him in areas he struggled with and his confidence in his ability has soared, we can't thank Dawn enough and would not have any hesitation in recommending her.
