Be very careful doing business with this company. From the owner to the salesman, they’re in it for themselves, not for you. I had them estimate vinyl plank flooring for my entry, kitchen, laundry, and bath for a small one bedroom condo.The salesman (Jed) convinced me that I was better off going with vinyl plank flooring throughout the unit, rather than just the areas I wanted, with a plan of adding carpet at a later date. Their price of $5800 seemed reasonable, although Jed made multiple excuses for not including the $700 discount, the $35 room, and other discounts that their advertising promised.I had to pay a deposit just to get on the schedule, and did not see the contract until after the $100 deposit was paid. When I saw it, I called Jed about some of the language in the contract that I did not like. He’s the smoothest salesman I’ve ever come across, and he poo-pooed my concerns, the biggest of which was the language for the floor prep , which would be in addition to the contract price. Jed assured me it was no big deal. He said that that wording was in the contract because he could not see the floor condition until the carpet was removed. He required payment in full for the project before they would get started, and so, wanting to get going, I gave them a credit card payment for the remaining $5700.Well sure enough, the promise of next day installation was kept, and the materials were delivered and my carpet torn out before I could get there. With the carpet gone, they had me by the balls, and said the floor prep was going to add $2300 to the cost of the project. I had them hold off until I could get a second opinion, and after having four other contractors look at the project who were able to see the condition of the floors, I was convinced that there would not be floor prep needed outside the ordinary, which would be included in their bids.Floor Daddy then began a ritual of ignoring my calls and my requests for a new contract for flooring only in the areas that I originally wanted. After two weeks and several attempts to reschedule installation, I finally hired a different contractor who installed the materials delivered by Floor Daddy, which I had already paid for.I then requested a refund of my payment for the project, less the cost of materials and labor provided by Floor Daddy, in the amount of $3900. Jed now denied any involvement in the transaction, and the owner of Floor Daddy tried to bully me into accepting a refund of $900 rather that fight it in court and lose it all.Two months and a lot of aggravation later, I was awarded $3500 by the judge because that is the limit of awards that small claims are allowed to make. Floor Daddy’s owner just laughed at me when I asked him to reimburse me court costs and fees.Stay away from this outfit for your own good. If you can’t, if the deal seems to be too good, be sure to be there when they tear out your carpet so you can discuss any additional floor prep that they may say you’ll need. It’ll be too late if they do any floor prep before you know what it entails. I’d be willing to bet that there are a lot of former Floor Daddy customers who unwittingly got charged for unneeded floor prep for vinyl plank flooring.It’s too bad that these long shot reviews are the only way to spread the word about dealing with sheisters. I was told that someone would be contacting me about the broken items and that they’d send someone out to fix the quarter round. Neither happened. It has now been close to 2 monthsI feel bad writing a subpar review because the floors look great. Sales process was easy and Larry was great and very knowledgeable.During install it was determined that the subfloor was uneven and “substantial grinding” was required in order to level and lay the floor. This cost us an additional $970 out of pocket, which isn’t the end of the world if it was truly required. The problem is either they started doing this prior to informing me or it really wasn’t necessary because by the time I was contacted and made the additional payment, they were done in about 10 minutes.The team was making great progress but then ran out of material for our job. This wasn’t communicated to us until I had to reach out to the company to find out. Which I was told it would delivered Friday (5 days later). Friday came and I had to reach out again for another update as I wasn’t contacted with status, which I was informed that it wasn’t ready and they would follow on Monday. Monday came and I hadn’t heard anything. I reached out on Tuesday and they let me know they could come on Wednesday, which they then finished the job. During this time, all furniture was left in the garage and with the exception of a few items, my wife and I had to move everything back into place so that we could have our house back in order.As I am working in my newly floored office today, I notice one of my floating shelves is sagging. After looking further, it looks like the shelf was nearly ripped out of the wall and some of my items were broken. We moved all items that we were told to move prior to install. Unfortunately this is the second negative review I'm posting about this company - after they failed to do my job they are charging me a restocking fee - which to a small percentage I understand, but 30-35%?? I spent today asking around, looking into it, and they are taking $1100 when none of the flooring ever crossed my threshold. They ripped up the existing toxic under carpet materials and didn't even remove it - just left my household in disrepair and I was sick in sinuses after. They have no ethics- they made me ill and robbed me. (No restocking fee is what they claim.) Less

It's pathetic I have to write a 2nd poor review, but they are screwing me secondly upon the FIRST screw up, charging me $1100 for a job never done, in fact left my bedroom carpet half ripped out and literally left it that way, breathing insulation in. I never leave reviews, and I feel really sad having to do this, but I want to share my bad experience in hopes that others will do their due diligence. Short version: 1. Financing a little bit of a bait and switch 2. Installer (yes, just one) showed up way earlier than expected 3. Two guys and a truck did the entire job, so we significantly overpaid for labor 4. Overcharged my credit card 5. Walls are a bit gappy, but I'm hopeful as the floor shifts things will tighten up Long version with context: I have had floors done multiple times in the past. Additionally, my father used to manage flooring stores before he retired (as did my FIL), so while I'm not a pro, I know a thing or two because I grew up around it. I did my usual thing and called 3 vendors. Floor Daddy did come in the most expensive (by nearly $3k), but because the sales guy was so great, I felt comfortable overpaying for what I thought would be a premium experience with a premium product. I know some might say that's not wise, but I own a company where premium services do cost more than my competitors. I thought I was truly giving back in the way I would want as a biz owner myself. 1. The financing advertisements on their website are a little bait and switch, so be cautious. I applied for, and was approved, for the 60 months, zero interest offer. I had not let the Floor Daddy sales guy know before he hard-lined about only getting a 24 month option, zero interest. When I explained I had already done my research and was approved, he then called his manager and asked for a 36 month option. He did do the typical sales schtick and said they "never" honor something like that. With that said, I thought the guy was funny and charming in an older gentleman kind of way. I chose to ignore the old school sales tactic (like an idiot). At this point, I had decided that I'd table the idea of using them so I could think on if I wanted to pay outright or finance with the shorter term. Later that evening though, their accounting dept (Athena) called and said I could do 60 months, zero interest. The accounting dept explained that they could make that decision and were unsure why Jed (Sales) and Brian (Ops Mgr) had offered different. She said she'd verify and call me back. She never did, but I called her, and she felt confident she could get it done, but had spoken to Jed (Sales) and said he mentioned they don't offer that unless it's for a larger amount. With that said, I was impressed with their customer service so I decided to proceed when they agreed to extend the offer and do 48 months. Problem solved, meeting in the middle and moving on! 2. They told me the wrong time for install. The guy (not crew) showed up 2.5 hours early. All good though, things happen. Better early than late, but I did have to cancel some meetings to open the house for him because it was vacant. I thought it was odd to only be one guy, but oh well. Moved on with my day. 3. Only one guy ever shows up the first two days. Finding this odd from my previous experiences, I called to inquire. The rep assured me that another individual was on property but had stepped away. When I went back later, there were 2 men. Okay, no biggie. Hopefully they have a crew of at least 4 on install day because it's 1600 sq ft. Once again, moving on with my day. Fast forward to install day, only two guys ever did the job. They worked their asses off and were not employed by Floor Daddy as W2. I so wish I could have just paid them for their services directly. Now, I'm sort of pissed. Floor Daddy significantly overcharged for labor. Honestly, you can buy a premium product and hire the guys who did this job directly for a fraction of the price. 4. I'm ready to move past this house project by now, but then Amex pings me to say my credit report has indicated a card that's been used above the limit. I immediately check it and it is in fact the financing card we used through Floor Daddy (Synchrony, by the way). I have no recourse for this problem just yet. The card still hasn't arrived, so I'm not sure why or how Floor Daddy overcharged the approved amount that covered the entire job. In the meantime, nice little drop in the score. :) 5. Where the floor meets the trim is a little bit more gappy than to be expected, but maybe this will shift with time. More to come on that. So there you have it. Have fun and happy shopping! Less

I am so glad that I went with Floor Daddy for my flooring. Everyone was very kind and helpful. I received calls from Cheryl who was also helpful and even called when my flooring was completed to check on everything and was there for me when I had questions. The installers did such a wonderful job. I kept apologizing because I have 6 cats and so much furniture to move and work around but they were understanding and got the job done perfectly despite all my pets and obstacles of my house. They finished days before the estimated time frame I was given which was really nice. Arman came and did a final walk through to make sure I was happy with everything which I am 100%! This is my first home improvement project and I was impressed with Mike's enthusiasm when setting up my initial appointment for the estimate. He set the bar high for what this company has to offer. Jed was pleasant to work with while selecting a new hard surface and carpeting, and I felt confident in my decision. There was a minor setback when the installation date was pushed back by one day due to unforeseen circumstances. However, when the crew arrived today, I discovered that the wrong product was sent for the installation and the work could not begin. My staircase has some unique features in that it has an open side I’m finding isn’t the norm. I’m waiting for a field manager to come over to help resolve the issue. I believe having an installer assess the project before purchasing materials would have streamlined the process. I’ll update this review as the project progresses. If all goes well my rating may increase from the current 3 stars. Update, Day 1: The field manager was great and took note of what needed to be done. To maintain the same pricing, we'll need to wait approximately 9 more days for the hard surface adjustments to be fabricated. Going back to the initial sale, It would have been helpful if the sales representative, knowing the timeline, had more openly communicated the possibility of the fact that I would begin making payments on the special financing they offered before the completion of my project. This information could have better prepared me for the financial aspects involved. I also want to mention that I emailed a simple question that would help me prepare for the carpeting installation in the bedrooms to the three people I had an email for (appointment set up, sales, and invoicing) and it has gone unanswered for 7 days now. Stay tuned for more updates. Update Day 5: The Installation Manger hasn’t been proactive about seeing what she can do to get our hard surface and carpeting installation done as soon as possible. The hard surfacing is going be delayed by a week and I feel the carpeting could be put in, but wasn’t talked about. I left a message to talk about having the carpeting put in and there was no response. I called and after a short but frustrating call was scheduled to have the carpeting put in first in five more days. I’m trying to be hopeful that there will not be a delay in the carpeting installation, but it’s hard. The company doesn’t work weekends which makes it difficult for the customer. Very frustrating. I tell her I have called the office several times and she tells me she will tell someone to call me, as of today still no one has returned my call. So I went ahead and had the flooring installed . No one from Floor Daddy ever called to check how things were going. Absolutely nothing. On the day the installers were scheduled they didn't have all the supplies so they couldn't do anything. So I lost a day from work. I asked the installers a couple of questions but they couldn't answer. Which I expected. The flooring came out nice but Floor Daddy did absolutely nothing but collect my money. I will never recommend them to anybody. And if they asked who installed, I am going to say "two guys in a truck did." Less

So I was really conflicted about writing a somewhat negative review, because some aspects of this experience were great. That was until I read other reviews that had a vastly different experience than mine. The sales person was pleasant enough, but a little car dealership vibe. He showed literally only 4 samples of the flooring options and gave me the impression that that's the only options we had for the quality of floor we wanted. Some people on here said they were offered digital preview for what the floor would look like, but we weren't even given that as an option. I made it clear to him that I wanted the floor to be the monochromatic without a lot of variation. The sample he showed me was the perfect color. We agreed on the price and scheduled the install. The installers were great! Fast, professional, really accommodating. However, by the time they put down enough floor for me to see what it looks like, it turned out to have really high variation of colors and it looks to me like it's two different floors pieced together. I called the sales guy and he told me because they put down a lot of the floor already, changing it would cost more money. Well, I literally don't have any more money. This wasn't an expected expense and the 20k we spent was it. So now, I'm stuck looking at this hideous floor for the foreseeable future. At least it's good quality and is installed properly. Less

Floor Daddy an experience I will never forget. Right from the get go of purchasing the floors to completed installation the company did not loose their eye on the target that is customer service. Through out the installation process they were transparent, communicative and forthright with information. Floor Daddy an experience I will never forget. Right from the get go of purchasing the floors to completed installation the company did not loose their eye on the target that is customer service. Through out the installation process they were transparent, communicative and forthright with information. I always believe problems during a project happen- how people communicate and resolve it matters!! This team is awesome. Now to the installers - there were three main installers who came plus one additional gentleman for one day! Thorough professions and very creative. I want to name Balthazar their lead - what a guy took pride in delivering quality product. Ernesto was the other gentleman that I will never forget.. he is the creative mind and did awesome!!!
