I brought my almost 3 yr old Grandson to Sharkey's for the 1st time and I must say I was thoroughly impressed! My grandson was definitely a handful and Jeanette was kind, patient and very skilled. The salon was clean and everyone was professional and welcoming! My grandsons hair looks great! Couldn't be happier!

We had a fantastic experience at Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids in Colonie, NY. Our son has always struggled at barbershops, but today was completely different — no tears, no fuss, and a genuinely positive experience. The staff were incredibly understanding of his autism, and Katrina was fast, patient, and excellent with him.My husband also got a great haircut while we were there, so it was a win all around.We will definitely be returning. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Adding to my review on July 26, 2026:Jeannette was amazing with my son. I actually preferred the curly cut he got from her. I will definitely be bringing him back to her for future haircuts.

My 2+ year old has been boycotting salon haircuts for the past six months, so I’ve been cutting it at home. Well I royally screwed it up and after much bribery and convincing, he agreed to go back to the salon. Sheena was AMAZING and kiddo left the salon so handsome and proud of himself. She was gentle, talked him through it, and worked efficiently but with kindness. We will be going back to her time and time again!

Yvette was incredibly patient and flexible with my little toddler. It was his second haircut ever so we weren’t sure how long he would cooperate but Yvette was able to keep him calm & comfortable. We are so thrilled with the cut and grateful for Yvette!!
