I cannot say enough good praises about Angie at Lilikoi Artistry. She is a highly skilled artist. Meaning before she was a Tattoo Makeup Artist, she was a Makeup Artist. So, she understands facial symmetry and color theory. She mixes all her colors from scratch according to your desired look and skin tone. The result is a natural look. I’ve never had tattoo makeup before, so given that, she errors on a conservative approach, which I appreciate. You can always go darker or add more in your touch-up follow-up appointment. Now that I have done microblading, I tell myself I should have done this long ago. It saves me time in my makeup application; if I do not put makeup on, I still look presentable. Having nicely structured brows literally frames your face. I am so pleased. Also, she numbs the area with a professional-grade numbing agent. My initial research found that this was not always the case. Some microbladers use Preparation H. While Preparation H is a vasoconstrictor and may help as an anti-inflammatory, it is not a numbing agent. That is the foundational difference between a professional, novice, or weekend microblader. I can say from experience that her services are painless, safe, and beautiful. Sure, you can go to someone else with a Facebook coupon, but it is your face you are trusting them with. If someone does a haphazard job, you will be reminded of it every time you look at yourself in the mirror. In addition to her gorgeous work, Angie possesses an impressive list of credentials and is dedicated to continuing her education. In my opinion, it is imperative that someone invests in themselves and is committed to learning the latest and safest techniques. Not a weekend microblader who does it for extra pocket money. I wish I could give 500 stars to Angie, and I could write pages about my wonderful experience with her. She gave me beautiful brows to fix my sparse brows, which I've been sensitive about for years. Even more meaningful for me, two months previous she did emergency saline removal for a terrible microblading job I'd gotten elsewhere, from someone who didn't seem to care what I was looking for and even worse, did not stand by her work at all, leaving me feeling terrified and helpless. It was through panicked google searching on my own that I discovered emergency saline removal, and then reached out to Angie. She immediately replied to my text and got me in for removal within 24 hours to make the time window of removal within 48 hours. Throughout the entire removal experience (which was pretty stressful), Angie was caring and helpful, checking up on my healing by text message, encouraging me to ask questions at any time, and explaining everything to me, so I knew what to expect. When I was healed from the removal, I went back to her for new brows. Angie made sure she knew exactly what I wanted first (this didn't happen with my other microblading experience), explained what is and isn't possible, and reassured me that we could always just turn around and take them off, which really helped my nerves! (I learned so many valuable lessons, one of which is: when getting permanent brows done, get them from someone who has experience with removal and has therefore seen a lot, and also knows how to remove yours right away if you aren't happy with how they turned out for any reason.) I only wish I'd known about Angie on my first go round, but I am so thankful I found her! She's incredibly professional and compassionate. I suffer from Alopecia, so I do not have any brows and few eyelashes. So, I would have to draw my brows daily, which is time-consuming. I had my brows, eyeliner (both top and bottom), and lips done. I cannot express enough how much time this saves me every day. No more uneven brows or sweating them off, which can be embarrassing. As a previous makeup artist, Angie understands facial symmetry. Having no brows to work with, she measured and drew brows on me that fit the shape and size of my face. Much better than I had been doing for years. A more natural look. She also uses a professional grade-numbing agent, so you do not feel a thing (I fell asleep). This is important when doing eyeliner and lips. Speaking of lips, my lips are amazing. The color shade is perfect. I just add lip gloss or ChapStick, and my lips look like I have lipstick on them. My experience was safe, effective, and painless. Do not fall for cheap deals. You get what you pay for. Angie is an expert in her field and is a perfectionist. Lastly, did I mention that I live in California and commute to Utah to see Angie. I believe that speaks for itself. I could not recommend Angie at Lilikoi enough! I got my eyebrows microbladed from a different artist and didn’t love the color or shape, but wasn’t sure if I needed to wait it out and see if my brows would settle over time. I called Angie (a bit frantically) and asked about my options for emergency saline removal. She was extremely kind, patient, and willing to talk me through my options. I sent her a photo of my microbladed brows and another of how I normally filled them in, and she told me that based on what I showed her, she would recommend I get them removed (which I was already leaning towards). She was able to fit me in immediately after I called, and was SO kind during the whole process. She also checked in with me multiple times over the recovery process to see how my brows were looking and if I had any questions. Not all of the pigment was removed (which isn’t uncommon), so I will likely go in to her for another removal session- but the fact that she was able to fit me in so quickly after getting my brows done will make it so much easier to get them fully removed. I could not be happier with my experience with Angie, and I would recommend her to anyone and everyone who is looking for emergency saline removal! Less
