I went for an extremely minimal procedure and the price they quoted me was egregious compared to what I’ve paid before for the exact same issue. I felt uncomfortable as they were pretty rude when I insisted on knowing the price prior to proceeding with any work (they immediately tried to get me to do an x ray which was completely unnecessary). After I declined the service based on the price they insisted I still pay $124 for the consult alone. The entire interaction was really unpleasant. I would recommend that future patients get cost transparency prior to engaging with them on anything and honestly just shop around for second opinions/pricing. Less

During my last appointment a newer Dr. here (Anna Gupta) was assigned to me without any advanced notice of the change. She was extremely condescending and rude during my exam being incredibly hyper-focused on the results of gum level measurement where they wanted me to add a 3rd visit per year. I declined repeatedly and had a very uncomfortable and strained interaction with this "professional" and was on the verge of walking out. When she looked into my mouth, touched lightly on one tooth, proclaimed there was a cavity, I did exactly that. I made an appointment elsewhere for a second opinion. I never had a cavity. I also don't require the deep cleaning they suggested here. Considering I overheard Anna pressuring another patient to purchase additional services during that man's exam, I left that day feeling like this office pushes services unnecessarily. I do not know that man's particular situation or diagnosis but I could sense and feel the repeated pressure to purchase with the way she was attacking him verbally making me terribly uncomfortable to even over hear this. I would proceed with caution when deciding to utilize this dental office. Be aware of what conditions and services are being offered and do your research before agreeing.My 3 star rating is for partial happiness with my hygienist Sabrina. Less

First off, we were told during our initial consultation that we would not have to pay a copay for regular cleanings. Being in the military my family has seen a lot of different dental offices and we have never had to pay a copay for a routine cleaning. When a copay has been required for something beyond a cleaning/X-rays I pay it at the time of the visit. That was not the case here. I was tagged with a $256 bill months after the fact with the explanation that my dual insurance did not fully cover our initial visit/cleaning. Keep in mind this was just for my wife and myself, our kids to go a pediatric dentist. When I called the office to clarify the bill I got very little explanation. I have since paid the bill and found a new Dental office and the insurance issue has been resolved. Less

I have been coming to this clinic for over 15 years. I moved from Escondido 3 years ago to North Carolina. I make the effort to come to San Diego to visit family and while here I always make my cleaning appointments and any procedures while I’m here. To be honest I never liked going to the dentist until I found this dental group. I’ve had every dentist at one time or another and a few of the technicians I particularly want to work on my case as I know them and trust them. Can’t say enough about CITRACADO DENTAL. I’ll fly here to have treatments rather than go to dentist in NC. That’s how much I believe in them and how comfortable I am with them. I have had all the Jungman Doctors work on me. Can’t say enough. Super Dentist! Today Dr. Ana (first time with her and her assistant Heather) did a big procedure on me and I was so impressed. I’m so glad they added her to the team. Her kindness, the way she explained the procedure, positive energy and professionalism gives me hope that this practice will continue to thrive and serve patients very well. Can’t forget to mention the office staff either. A big part of the reason I come here. So welcoming and first people I see when I arrive. The initial contacts with the “new” practice were beyond confusing. I received numerous calls from different people in different offices that didn’t seem to be communicating with each other even after I had already schedule at the main office. During one of the last calls I received from the "Office Manager?" I was convinced me Dr. Weller’s old office had been completely updated, new equipment, etc., same service, excellent staff, etc. Okay, so transitions can cause some confusion. I get that so I made the appointment. I was told that I “HAD” to get x-rays even though I had a full set done earlier in the year. I didn’t particularly want this but was told that it had to be done because this practice had digital and Dr. Weller did not and it was necessary to make sure I got proper care. I was also informed that if my insurance did not cover the x-rays I wouldn’t be charged. On arrival I was told I would not be getting x-rays until next year as it was my wish. It seems odd that I was told I had to have them and then, on arrival told that it could wait until next year. What happened to needing them to give me proper care? My appointment was to be at the new office. But the person I spoke to (Office Manager?) convinced me to come to the old office. I am wondering if this had to do with my insurance as the equipment used for cleaning appears to have been downgraded and, no x-rays were taken. At the end of my visit the (OM?) told me that she would be sending a preauthorization request to my insurance for two areas of deep cleaning/root scaling. This was not discussed with me by the dentist that did the exam. I declined to have her do this. I was then informed that this practice does not accept my insurance and in future I would be responsible for payment on anything that the insurance did not cover. She also mentioned that Dr. Weller took any and all insurance (in a rather derogatory voice) and didn’t bother to eliminate some of the insurances because he was a retiring dentist. Dr. Weller was an excellent dentist. He was straight up and didn’t try to upsell you on a treatment you didn’t need. He informed you of what you needed to do to fix a problem. He actually cared about his patients. They weren’t just dollar signs to him. Jordan Weller basically spoiled me for other cleaning techs. He had state of the art equipment which meant less manualscraping. Not once did he stab me with an instrument. He allowed me to hold and use the suction nozzle as needed. In summary, I believe I should have been told before the visit that my dental insurance was not being accepted. Not telling me this before my visit was not straight forward or ethical. This info should been shared during the multiple phone conversations we had prior to my visit. This would have given me the opportunity to find a dentist that does accept my insurance which, I would have done. After all this I was asked if I wanted to schedule my next visit. I declined as I will be for a dentist that accepts my insurance. I simply don’t trust a business that is run in a less than ethical, straight forward manner. Less
