First, I have never eaten Filipino food before. I read their website and saw it was sweet and savory instead of spicy, which is perfect. I am not a spicy girl. When I arrived with my mother, we were immediately greeted by the owner. She took our orders and then we sat down. A few minutes later, her husband stopped by with our drink (halo halo) and explained how to stir it to blend all the flavors together.Overall, it was a wonderful, friendly experience. The food was phenomenal and reasonably priced, the restaurant was decorated superbly, and the owners were amazing. I definitely plan on returning in the future.

I love coming to Kusina! The food is so delicious and the owners and workers make you feel like family! The portions are also large and good for sharing if you'd like! They also have a Filipino grocery store next door that is worth checking out. I can't wait to eat here again!

I've spent some time in the Philippines and the food at Kusina's tastes as good or in better in some cases than what I've had in in the PhilippinesAnd if you go save room for the Halo Halo it is so fantastic!All of the staff is so nice and the owners are a lot of fun to talk with and they run a great restaurant!

I came to visit my family in the Twin Cities, and wanted to share some of my Filipino side with them. We were so excited to find this spot! We got chicken adobo, pancit, bbq skewers and some lumpia. We all enjoyed it. My kids especially loved the pancit. My local relatives are looking forward to returning. Grabe ang sarap!

Our friends, one of whom is Pinoy, invited us to eat here this Sunday for lunch.First off we were greated like family, which was unexpected, but so nice. I was unbelievably impressed by the warmth of hospitality the owner and her husband showed us.Secondly, but equally impressive was the food!!! The menu is not large, but the flavors sure are! We had a variety of dishes, and I learned that "toro toro" means to "point, point", meaning you point at the dishes you want to eat. We tried most of the menu between all of us, and EVERY dish was fantastic.I highly recommend you give it a try, you will not be disappointed!!

Kusina, a home away from home! This restaurant captures the amazing hospitality of Filipinos. Not to mention, the amazing and comforting food. Words cannot explain the feeling I get when I first walk-in and I’m greeted with “Kamusta Ate!” and sitting down to enjoy such a wonderful and humble meal.
