Had an amazing breath taking experience on our kayak tour. To our surprise we were the only two on that tour for the day. The guide was great (thank you Archer) she showed us some great spots. Talked about some of the history at several sites. Got to swim and dive on our way back which was a great way to enjoy the river to the fullest.

My wife and I had an absolute blast kayaking with our guide Archer. My wife is in the middle of her third trimester so she was worried about the heat and being able to keep up. By splashing water on ourselves and keeping our hats wet even the 105 heat wasn’t a problem. And, because it was just us archer took it slow at a comfortable pace. The hardest part of the paddle was the return because we were going against the wind. This company has higher quality kayaks that slip through the wind and water better than the other guide companies we saw out there. Still, in higher winds, it’s helpful to be relatively fit and in a tandem.We 100% recommend booking them even if you’re worried about the temperature or difficult difficulty.

Ian was awesome! He had lots of great information and knowledge of the area. We Went at a leisurely pace didn’t feel rushed. He also gave us great recommendations of things to do and places to eat. We would highly recommend taking a tour with him.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience kayaking at Lake Mead! Ian and Archer were amazing guides. They were friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely fun to spend the day with.They made the whole experience feel relaxed and well organized from start to finish, and they were wonderful with our family. Their knowledge of the area and enthusiasm really added to the adventure, and we always felt safe and well looked after. We even saw a fox, which made the experience even more memorable.The scenery was incredible, but Ian and Archer are what made the experience truly special. This was definitely one of the highlights of our Las Vegas trip. I would highly recommend this kayak tour, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Ian and Archer as your guides

We went to do the emerald kayak tour and had a wonderful experience. Our tour guide was Archer, and she was very informative and helpful throughout the whole experience. She shared info about the wildlife, history of the area and took us to various unique locations throughout the tour. The tour was scheduled so as to avoid the long lines that can build up at the emerald cave. We were also shared photos and videos of our time there which was awesome! We were lucky enough to see big horn sheep, lizards, and a few blue herons. Was a fantastic experienced made possible by the great tour guide. I recommend to all those looking to see the emerald cave and learn about the wildlife and the history of lake mead and willow beach.

It was a calm environment being on a kayak for the first time…Ian was so patient with us. Wonderful views with historical information.

Me and my girlfriend had an amazing time! Not only was it beautiful outside, but our tour guide, Ian, was an absolute blast! If you love animals and the outdoors, you will fall in love with this place. We saw Lesser Golden Finches, Coyotes, Big Horn Sheep, Wrens, fish, ducks, and so much more! It was truly incredible, and will go down as a great memory! If you go, you are guaranteed to have the best day!

Great tour. Never felt rushed or herded. Our priority was to have a good experience as a family and they delivered. The tour time we selected with them avoided the crowds (which we could see). We were alone on long stretches of river and even in the Emerald Cave. We had great light and ample time to take pictures. If however you are willing to queue outside the cave (it isn't that big) a long time in hopes of capturing the perfect picture then this may not be the right operator for you. We would like to rerun and paddle up to the damn and would select Kayak Lake Mead without hesitation.

Had the best time on the Emerald Cave Kayak Tour with Ian. He was extremely personable and patient with us, made sure we were comfortable with everything we were doing, and had a wealth of knowledge about the area. We never felt rushed and got to fully enjoy the tour from kayaking to swimming in the river and even a short walk to a historic site. Would highly recommend Ian and Kayak Lake Mead for an unforgettable experience.

We had so much fun with Ian. He is very knowledgeable of the area. Knows his history and plants and animals and things of interest that made our trip very fun. Ian has a very quiet demeanor, and the trip was so enjoyable and so peaceful that we can’t wait to book with him again. The group was small. Other groups around us I could hear them and it sounded like they were herding cats. Our group was small. We had so much fun. We ended up going to lunch and to the park afterwards with the other couple that was in our group. I highly recommend Ian and can’t wait to book with him again. The moonlight Kayak trip is amazing. It is quiet and peaceful with only you and the water. I kept falling behind due to stopping to enjoy the stillness. Ian was great. We stopped at a beach, had a small fire and sat and talked. The paddle back was in total darkness except for the kayak beacon lights on the rear of the kayaks & headlamps so you know where everyone is. We met Sam and his dog Herbie on the beach, chill guy and water loving dog. Plus, you don't have the sun beating on you for 3 hours. DO THIS TRIP!

Our guides were awesome! Very patient and knowledgeable. Our family had a wonderful time and it was a great experience. We went for the morning time so that it was not as hot, was windy on the return, but our guides went above and beyond to help us push through.

10 out of 10 experience! From start to finish, it was fun, relaxing, and rewarding. Ian was our tour guide and we had the best time with him. Not only was he informative, he was humorous and caring. As Las Vegas locals, we look forward to getting out of the madness of the concrete jungle and this was exactly what we needed. Archer, our guide made the whole trip amazing. Right from the start she was informative and helpful getting us going and made the whole experience amazing!!!! Perfect pre trip instruction, and communication from start to finish. We will be going back, the kayak’s were in excellent condition and shape all equipment was clean and ready for us! Ready to do the 12 mile one next !

Sam was an excellent guide on our kayak tour! It was a great experience. The kayaks were very nice and all the equipment was in great condition. Our next adventure in the area will definitely be booked with Kayak Lake Mead and I would absolutely recommend using these guys if you want a good adventure with a friendly, knowledgeable guide.

Our clan of 15 including grandkids from age 7-15 thoroughly enjoyed this trip! While we did mant fun activities in our 10 day stay in Nevada, Arizona, and Utah, the consensus was is that this was the favorite!! Ian an the other guides, Archer and Sam were very helpful and kind.
