We had an excellent experience with Independent Vehicle Service and would absolutely recommend them for a pre-purchase vehicle inspection.We actually brought a different vehicle to them first, and their inspection uncovered quite a few red flags. While we ultimately decided not to move forward with that vehicle, the thoroughness of their report gave us a lot of confidence in their process. We knew right away that when we found another vehicle, we would bring it back to them before buying.They were able to schedule an appointment that worked well for both us and the dealership, which was especially helpful since we had not yet purchased the vehicle. The dealer dropped it off the afternoon before, Independent Vehicle Service completed the inspection, and the full report was ready for us the following morning.The report was detailed, easy to understand, and they took the time to go over the findings with us rather than simply handing us a checklist. In this case, the vehicle checked out very well, and they were able to give us reassurance that it appeared to be a strong vehicle to purchase.Having an independent inspection made a huge difference in our buying process - both by helping us walk away from the wrong vehicle the first time and giving us confidence in the one we ultimately purchased.Because of how positive this experience was, Independent Vehicle Service has also earned our trust for more than just inspections. I was passing through and started having issues with my van. My roadside service suggested Independent Vehicle Service. As this was my only vehicle they made sure I got back to my hotel and called the next day with bad news. There was a.lot wrong with is. He told me it was dangerous to drive. I had my doubts that everything he described was wrong but he didn't say it will cost you this much to get it fixed. He said it wasn't worth it. It was a 92 chevy van. He was right. The repairs would have been way more than the van was worth. He was honest with me. I arranged to have the van taken from the shop but I didn't have a way to get my belongings. I told them specifics of what I absolutely needed and they pulled it for me. I couldn't have been in better hands as I am not from here and had no idea what to do. They gave me time to figure it out (ended up being one day) and we're very patient while I figured out what to do. Honest, professional and reliable.

Great service, fair prices, proactive. Came in for A/C work, I explained the work I did and what needed to be done - they listened and did the work without any hassle. Compared to other shops, pricing is definitely reasonable and quality of work is great. Highly recommend coming here

Third time I have been to this facility. I find either using the website or calling and speaking to someone for appointments is super easy.Okay now to the details of my visits. First visit was back in 2024 for an issue with my AC. They did an ac service which unfortunately did not fix my issue but it was determined that I would need further diagnosis. My original thought was an AC compressor replacement.Second visit in 2025 was for a diagnostic for my AC and after several hours of testing and diagnosis it was determined that I needed a new compressor and some other items to go with it. The service advisor at the time gave me the options of what needed to be repaired/replaced along with and estimate. I approved the estimate and repairs. Within a few days there was a delay because of a part that needed to be replaced and it wasn’t in the original estimate. It happens. Next day after that part was ordered and installed the vehicle was ready. AC was blowing nicely and I needed it. Great experience and no run around like you hear a lot of repair shops do.I have no issues with that repair as of now and I hope that isn’t an issue in the future.Third visit, came in for a specific issue with the vehicle hesitation when driving. The service advisor, different person was very receptive and took lots of notes for the information passed along for the technician. I dropped my car off in the afternoon and by the next day early midday I received a call with the issue being resolved by my own error. Went to go pick up my vehicle and paid for my fee and home now.I would absolutely recommend this shop for Volvo and any other makes if you don’t want high pressure sales from the dealership. As well as having to call them repeatedly or often to get any information from the service advisor. Plus their prices are more affordable and I appreciate their integrity.This will be my place for repairs that I am unable to perform on my own.Thank you for the service and the honesty of your team.

Great shop, our extended family has been coming here with Volvo, Toyota, Nissan and Subarus since it was Independent Volvo in the 1990s and they've kept the same indie feel and high quality as Independent Vehicle Service.

Derek did a great job on my Ural. The sidecar had been sitting for awhile, and fuel deteriorated. Also redid the baseline for the fuel injection, and now starts up as it should.

Rob, Sariah, Daniel, and everyone else took great care of both me and my vehicle. They went over and above what was required, and were extremely friendly about it.
