Krissi is fantastic! Everytime we have company in town we book a charter with her and they have all be phenomenal. She has an incredible amount of experience and knowledge of the area. Both my teenager and Dad have enjoyed trips with her, and she finds something that everyone loves and makes the trip super memorable. She made my birthday trip so special with cupcakes and always has a great playlist for the best vibes on the water. I can’t recommend her enough, you will have a wonderful time!!!

There is not enough space here to truly capture our experience with Carolina Salt….so….just—WOW!! Krissi knows where to find all of the hidden gems and cute private spaces out on the water. I will definitely be a repeat client. What an adventure—just do it!!

From the moment I reached out to Krissi, I knew I had made the right choice for boating lessons.  She was so kind and encouraging, and helped to disarm my hesitations about driving a boat.  She is a great teacher!  I learned the basics of boating quickly and efficiently, and it was a very fun and cool experience to boot.  She has a deep love of our coastal waters, and it shows, from her passion and knowledge, to her interest in local wildlife and critters.  I wanted to take boating lessons to figure out if I would have the knack for driving a boat before considering buying one, and within only 3 lessons I felt confident that I could do it.  Right off the bat she had me untying the boat, adjusting the motor, reviewing safety materials and precautions, and within minutes, I was driving!  During my lessons, I was amazed that I was able to drive mostly by myself from Trails End to the far end of Wrightsville, up the river, and through Snow's cut all the way to Carolina Beach.   She gave great instruction about navigation, safety, courtesy on the water, anchoring, docking, and even getting gas.  She even had me dock the boat at Dockside!  As a bonus, I also learned that you never take a banana on a boat.  We even saw a mother and baby dolphin!  I wholeheartedly recommend Krissi for boating lessons.  She is a fantastic instructor!

Captain Krissi is so much fun, knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife! She is incredible with kids and adults! Oysters, oyster roasts, fossils and even a rope swing on an island! She has a lot to offer! If you are looking for a great day on the water either learning to pilot your own boat or just spending a day on the water for fun, Carolina Salt is a great choice!
