Lemani Hair and Extensions

TLDR: Marketed as a luxury service, staff are friendly, salon presents very nicely but the product absolutely does not match the price point.I had hair extensions installed and my hair coloured here on June 20th for just under $2,000. The salon requires you to purchase their recommended products to “guarantee the quality” of the extensions, which I did. Despite this, by the very next day I noticed significant split ends, even though I hadn’t washed or used heat, and had slept with protective styling (as I have consistently done).I had to return to have an edge of one of my wefts secured down as it was lifting. At my 6-week move-up, the splitting was worse, despite following all aftercare instructions, using minimal heat, and applying heat protectant every time. When I mentioned my disappointment, it was dismissed as “likely heat-related,” which didn’t align with my usage.I also raised that their recommended products irritated my scalp. I was told I could purchase an alternative from them, but that they wouldn’t “guarantee” the extensions if I used my preferred natural products. This was frustrating given that my concerns were already being dismissed despite forking out for the recommended products. After the move-up, my second row was placed too low near my hairline, making it impossible to wear my hair up. Another corner began lifting soon after, but I didn’t return as the salon is an hour away. At this point, I’ve lost a lot of length to split ends and would need a substantial trim — which is unacceptable considering the steep price increases per extra inch of length. If you plan to use extensions to support natural hair growth, be aware the required products contain ingredients that may not be ideal for scalp and hair health. The salon itself is beautifully presented, and the staff are friendly. I can see why people enjoy the “Instagram-ready” experience. But if you’re spending thousands expecting truly premium, long-lasting extensions, my experience suggests the quality doesn’t justify the cost.
