In 2009, my daughter came to me and said she wanted a basset hound. Me, being the naive parent I was, said of course! That was a great idea! A few months later we were the proud pet parents of the worst basset hound ever. She growled at us and bit me more than once. Determined to make this work I got her into training. Enter Bobbye J. Smith! She truly changed our lives with Lil! We trained with her at one of those big box stores for a bit, but our sweet Lil was in training for about three years so when Bobbye left, so did we. I very much believe that if not for Bobbye, we may have had a different dog or a different fate with her. Back when I was placing dogs from an outdoor dog sanctuary with rescues and adopters, Bobbye was the key to getting Duke into his foster home. She was able to watch his videos and let me know that he was not aggressive and that he just wanted very badly to have a friend. It made me confident that I could tell the foster that he was not aggressive and make her comfortable bringing him home. Turns out, of course, Bobbye was right, and Duke calmed down quite a bit! He also found his forever home! Bobbye also helped in a lot of different ways by making assessments, answering questions, helping new adopters with their questions (which helped the dogs keep their new homes!), and with other things that helped dogs get into their new homes and with rescues. Bobbye is terrific!

I can never say enough good things about Bobbye and her ability to help us interact with our furbabies. She has trained five of our dogs and although she is a dog training in Kingwood, what she really does is train us, the pet parents how to be better and communicate with our dogs so they understand us. I cannot think of a better trainer in the Kingwood Humble area.

Over the past 15 years we have used Bobbye’s services with five of our dogs. She does an amazing job of working with the dogs and owners. We have been extremely satisfied with her patience, work, and results. Raising an animal is kinda like raising a child … the work is never done, but she lays a strong foundation for you and your pet to continue forward. We highly recommend her services!
