We have worked with Ambar Builders not just once, but twice. We first hired Alejandro and his team to remodel our master bath shower, and we were so happy with their work that we hired them again to do a larger remodel to add a shower to our half bath and wall off a bedroom downstairs. Not only does their work look great, but they have also come back to take care of any small issues that have come up after they completed the job. We really appreciate Alejandro and his team for taking care of us and working with us to achieve the results we wanted!

As part of an effort to upgrade our home in Encinitas, I had Ambar Builders install a very heavy TV using a MantelMount with a recessed box. If you are unfamiliar, this is a mount with a handle that allows you to pull your (in our case 90lb!) TV out and down over your fireplace using a gas piston system.To do it properly, they relocated an electrical outlet, worked inside the wall, and handled a complex recessed mounting system with instructions that included x/y grid charts and math formulas (boy was I glad I hired this project out!).What really impressed me was that they didn’t just install it and leave. They had me raise and lower the TV multiple times, carefully adjusting the lift tension and resistance until it felt comfortable and safe for me to operate. That level of fine-tuning made a huge difference in day-to-day use.They handled the TV wearing white gloves to avoid smudges (they are not usually TV installers but somehow thought of this!), protected the surrounding area, disposed of packaging and cleaned every speck of dust before leaving. They were so thoughtful and kind.If you’re in Encinitas or North County San Diego and want a contractor who handles complex, detail-driven work with care and professionalism, I highly recommend Ambar Builders.

Alejandro and his team did an amazing job with our bathroom remodel! His team helped us turn our old, dingy bathroom into the bathroom of our dreams. His team did all the demolition, plumbing, electric, and paint/drywall repairs. Alejandro made the whole process very easy for us by scheduling his team to come out nearly every day to ensure the project stayed on track. Everyone we interacted with was very friendly and always willing to answer our questions. We even made some last minute changes that Alejandro's team was able to squeeze in for us. A High Five to Alex and his talented and friendly crew. We were in need of a master bath renovation and decided to go with Ambar Builders to replace a prefab side by side tub and shower with a built-in 101" x 45" low threshold step in shower with shower head fixtures at both ends, a rain head and a wall to wall (short side) quartz countertop bench.There expertise was clearly evidenced by there skills to work around the what I would consider 'obstacles' i.e. walls not plumb or straight etc and that they had to design and work around a glass block topped pony wall that I wanted to incorporate.My wife and I are both retired and had a spare bathroom to use during this process, so for us the disruptions were minimal.The whole process only took just a few weeks with the work site being cleaned up at the end of work days.This is NOT one of those 'as seen on tv' one day jobs lol.I will update this post in the near future with photos to share as it is imo a very visually pleasing and functional job but at the moment I'm repainting the bathroom because of my poor taste in paint color the first time around lolBottom Line ... Five stars for Ambar Builders! Alex and his crew remodeled two full baths and a powder room in an early 90's townhome that we recently bought in Fallbrook. We needed someone that we could trust implicitly since we wouldn't be onsite for most of the demo and build. Ambar exceeded every expectation.As with any project, unexpected issues came up: a cracked vanity top from the supplier, water damage under the subfloor, a tight squeeze to the second floor for a huge and heavy master bath vanity. And through it all, Alex's go-to phrase was "We'll figure it out." And he and the team did - each and every time.We've got more plans on the horizon for this place. So glad we know who to work with!

Team is very professional and was respectful of our home-they made sure to keep their area clean and contained st the end of every day so it didn't feel like we were living ina construction zone. The project turned out beautifully, on budget, and ahead of schedule. Alejandro and his team also offered advice on materials and design which turned out great. Best of all, they really stand by their work and came back a week after the bathroom was finished to fix some minor chips in the grout.

Ambar Builders, Oceanside completed a complete interior remodel of our house. Entire house all new luxury vinyl flooring, baseboards, painted the entire interior, upgraded to flush mount LED ceiling lights, installed 6 new shaker style solid core doors, installed a new entry door and garage door, 2 fireplace mantles, a huge ceiling beam, 2 new bathroom exhaust fans and all new LED garage lighting. Finished the entire project in six weeks. Alex has an awesome crew of painters, electricians, flooring and wood specialists. They were fantastic to work with. I highly recommend Ambar for any home project you have in mind.

Ambar builders are very fairly priced, do excellent high quality work, and do what they promise. Their specialists are very respectful of the property and always tidy up after the work day. The owner always stays in constant communication with the customer. We highly recommend them to neighbors for any bathroom and kitchen upgrades. After having our master bath bathroom upgraded some 3 years ago, we hired them again for two additional shower upgrades and they did not disappoint us. We had a great experience with Ambar Builders. We worked with Alejandro and his team to design and remodel our kitchen which was >20 years old. We are extremely happy with the outcome and will definitely use them again for future home renovation projects.

I would like to thank Alex and Team (Laz, and Jonathan) for the expert renovation of my first and second floors. We shopped around from starter general contracting companies and high-end companies who gave us quotes from uncomfortably cheap to crazy high prices. Every company came in with a compelling and fancy sales pitch. When I first met Alex, he came in with nothing but a measuring tape. I am thankful that we went with his humble and very reasonable quote. We had Ambar removed and replaced our entertainment section wall, our kitchen island, and our downstairs floor as the three major items of our renovation. He also did a ton of work to include, paint upstairs and downstairs, replacing my second-floor carpet, all my outlets, switches, numerous light pendant and chandelier fixtures, installed lighting in every nook and cranny of my house, just to name a few. Most of the small items were added while the renovation was ongoing. There was only one concern that I had with contractors that I mentioned to Alex, and that was customer service. I didn't want to have to deal with being "ghosted" after the project started. He assured me that he was 100 percent reachable and he always maintained that up to this day.A little bit about the conduct of the renovation. The renovation took about two months but it was well worth it. On day one, his team came in and started demolishing what they had to. They were quick but organized and they ALWAYS left the house clean. Alex and the team were always cognizant of every stage of the renovation always ensuring that we didn't have any issues or concerns, especially over the weekend. They were very flexible with timelines and would work around certain dates for us. As mentioned earlier, we added a lot of extras to the renovation and they took it all in stride.I really can't say enough about how we love our new home.
