Unfortunately I have to say I really haven’t been happy with the service provided to me at clearsmiles. Initially I saw Dr Chet for a consultation who was really friendly and answered all my questions and I thought he was fab! It’s definitely a ‘showy’ place which is fine for some people but personally felt a bit forced for me. My main issues arose when I decided to go ahead with my treatment. I was passed on to a different dentist (I got a choice between two) and she was far less informative than Chet. I had to repeatedly ask questions to get the answers I needed which was a bit annoying. She also left me waiting on three separate occasions (three different appointment days) for over an hour EACH TIME! And was not at all apologetic or explanatory… On two of those occasions, she was visibly laughing an joking with colleagues (100% not with another patient) in one of the side rooms which left me extremely agitated and looked beyond unprofessional. I understand appointments run over and life happens but when travelling 30 mins to the clinic to have to wait an hour longer than expected on three different occasions is extremely annoying, especially when it looks as though the staff think having a chat is more important than a patient who is on time and waiting for their appointment. She also reassured me in my appointments that she would chase things up for me and call back which she didn’t do and I had to be the one to make contact each time after over a week of waiting to hear back. One of the most concerning things was that I informed her of the EXTREME pain I was experiencing from the whitening treatments to which she didn’t even offer to look at my teeth and told me it was ‘normal’ and to use a brand of toothpaste that cost £25 a bottle to fix the problem. In all fairness, after me asking 4+ times, they did eventually change my whitening method but I haven’t noticed any difference with this one. I have since been back to my regular dentist who noticed a crack in my tooth and had expressed extreme concern that this wasn’t mentioned by the dentist at clearsmiles… Overall, I really regret wasting weeks of time, lots of petrol and lots of money for a service that was sold to me under false pretences… I would like to emphasise that I don’t think this is a reflection on Chet himself but he should perhaps be more concerned about who represents clearsmiles.
