I take both of my toddlers here and will absolutely NEVER go anywhere else. De Melinda is an absolute gem with them. If you have an autistic child or one with sensory issues, try to grab a weekday appointment. You're likely to be the only customer there and it makes a WORLD of difference in how my kids react to their haircuts.

We had such an amazing experience at this kids hair salon! The staff is incredibly patient, kind, and caring with children, and they truly know how to make kids feel comfortable and happy during the haircut.They do a wonderful job keeping the kids entertained, which makes the whole experience stress-free for parents too. The salon is clean, fun, and perfectly designed for children. My daughter especially loved the adorable princess area, such a cute touch for little ones who love princesses!Everyone was so welcoming, professional, and attentive, and the haircut turned out exactly how we wanted. You can really tell they love working with kids and have so much experience with them.I highly recommend this place to any parent looking for a fun, smooth, and positive haircut experience for their children. Melinda is amazing with kids.. my son always was afraid to cut us hair with barber or hair dresser, but with Melinda he was so comfortable and he got his actual first hair cut.. love this place and the hair dresser will be my hairdresser sons always

Melinda made my toddler’s first haircut a wonderful experience! The office was fun, bright, and catered to kids. She listened to us about what kind of haircut we were hoping for and walked us through each step, and it turned out perfect! Will definitely be back and seeing her when it’s time for his next visit!

Melinda is the absolute best. She does such a good job with my toddler’s curly hair. He was very uncooperative the first time we went but she still got it done. The second time he was totally comfortable and had a great time. She knows how to make kids happy and just has an awesome energy. So glad we found her.

Melinda was so great with our little one! she was so sweet and informative about it our child’s cut. she sang songs with him and made him feel comfortable, usually he hates hair cuts and cries so it meant so much that she was able to keep him happy and provide a good haircut! overall great experience!

Sharkeys north Tampa is hands down the best place to take your children for a fun haircut. All the stylists are so friendly and patient. It’s family owned and operated so you’ll likely see the owner running the front and cleaning. Definitely says a lot about her work ethic! My kids are always asking to go back. They’ll never let us go anywhere else lol 5 stars all around!
