I've never been one for fitness, exercise, etc. in fact, I hated it my entire life. I watched my husband join Ript, and not only did he slim down, increase his strength and endurance, but it changed him. He seemed less stressed, had more energy, just all in all better all the way around. My biggest concerns were never really exercising ever, my knees, being around people in general while doing something uncomfortable, and fear of the unknown. Years of excessive weight have earned my arthritis in both of my knees, and the need for a knee replacement, but I'm too young for one. Weight loss surgery was a tool I utilized 2+ years ago, but that only lasts for so long. It doesn't fix what was broken, bad habits, my mentality, etc.
I attended a Ript picnic with my husband and was scared, mortified to go, because I wasn't a "gym goer." But holy crap! These people were real people, of all ages, and normal! I met Tanya, heard her story, and it was the final push I needed.
I'm not going to lie, those first few months were so intimidating and hard. I made myself show up though, and that was the hardest part. Ript is a community of normal people, just like myself, who encourage eachother, lift eachother up when we're down, and inspire eachother. It has been about me as a whole. Nutrition, exercise, stress relief, mobility, making time for me. I'm at a point where I feel my program is sustainable, a feeling I've never felt before. I have energy, I have gained confidence and self esteem, I feel strong mentally and physically.
The entire staff is amazing, and will push you to your best. I love it, and I wish I would have found Ript years ago. But, now is my time! 🤘
