My Beau, aged 15 months, died on June 27, 2024 in the “care” of professional dog trainers George and Angela.A year later, The Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners determined Beau’s symptoms of salivation and elevated breathing was associated with heat stress and pain which Beau experienced at the home of George and Angela. How did this happen? George was training my Beau outside in 93+ degrees Texas summer heat around 4:30 pm. Beau appears hot, tongue out, standing on all four legs, no sign of a limping. After Beau was brought inside to their air conditioned home, Beau was whining, turning in a circle. After arriving back home from Beau’s exam by their local veterinarian, Angela reported Beau was drooling like crazy, white, and threw up water. He whined all most of the night and did not look so well.Beau died at the home of George and Angela. The veterinarian on call at the office reported the following morning Beau died of GVD (Gastric Dilatation Volvulus). Death occurs within hours of developing the signs and symptoms of GVD when left ignored. My veterinarian in Fort Worth agreed with Beau’s cause of death
