I was looking to find my dog a groomer. I searched carefully and am so glad I got in touch with Lucy. She was very responsive. The appointment was as agreed to the dot. She was very attentive to my preferences for my dog’s haircut, every single area was spot on. My dog had several knots throughout his body hair and I thought he would need to be shaved, but Lucy explained and did exactly what she told me. He was trimmed short but to perfection. It was totally worth it and my dog is now on a regular grooming schedule with her. In addition to her great skills, she was very caring so my dog was at ease as soon as we arrived. Happy Paws Fairfield was an incredible and smooth experience and Lucy took great care of our handsome Golden Retriever. We had not gotten our boy groomed since he was a pup and he has issues with a hair dryer/blower. Along with some matts in his rear. We contacted Happy Paws - described our dogs needs with Lucy and booked for that same weekend. When we arrived we had the place to ourselves and she does not overbook - so there were no concerns of other people or dogs arriving when our guy was in her care. She sent pictures throughout the appointment to check in and called with 30 minutes before she was completed. I couldn’t be more pleased. Lucy was able to take both of my foster pups within 24 hours of me calling, she gave them one on one attention and was so gentle and patient with them understanding that grooming was unfamiliar to them. She let me know 30 minutes before they were ready so I could be there when they were finished. When I picked them up they were both relaxing and looked and smelled great! Today I took my dog to Happy Paws for the first time and I must say I was very happy with the outcome. My appointment time was 12:30 pm. I arrived a few minutes early and she had just finished grooming two other dogs and then started my consult right on time. lucy the owner took her time talking to me about my wants and to get to know my dog. Once i picked him up she explained the areas she needed to use a little TLC as my dog seemed to express a little anxiety. The cut was perfect and he smells soooo good!!! I like that the keeps the business door locked the entire time my pet was in there. The business was very clean and welcoming. We were struggling to find a groomer who could fit my dog’s birthday haircut into our schedule. Luckily we found Happy Paws, they managed to squeeze us in on the same day, even though I was running late. They made sure to ask if there’s anything he didn’t like/makes him uncomfortable and if we have any preferences. Which is such a plus, especially having a dog who gets anxiety in most places!
