After recently purchasing a home with a "stock pool", my husband and I were absolutely lost on what steps to take to get it to a functioning level! One time involved a landscaping company carelessly dumping tree branches dirt and debris in my pool during a removal job. Our pool needed a new pump, black algae treatment and the concrete pool deck needed new joint sealant. Wesley and his team did a fantastic job with everything! For my newly resurfaced pool I needed to install new pool equipment so I was looking for a pool service company that does pool equipment installation and also offers chemical startup and regular maintenance services. I got bunch of quotes from many companies and amongst all, Pool Whip Pros' quote was the most elaborate and professionally made! I can probably write a full essay about my experience with other pool service companies (how they gave me quotes, how they answered my questions, etc.) but not gonna bore you with details! We were looking fora pool company to help us maintain our pool and I was very impressed with the reviews and ratings of Pool Whip. We hired them on April 2020. Everything was great, friendly staff, and communicative. Wes, the owner even asked us if we could give a Yelp review on May 2020, but I think it's too premature. I think it's better to wait maybe after a year or so. There was even a price increased during that time which we don't mind. On August 2021, we got noticed from Pool Whip by email informing that they "cannot acquire enough chemicals daily to maintain your (our) pool" and they will discontinued providing the pool service to us as of September 2021. Shocked but we understand. So we started looking for another company and in process we learn by asking companies if they have issue inquiring chemicals. ALL of them stated they don't have any issues inquiring chemicals. Makes me wonder why Pool Whip why they have issues getting chemicals. We think that we had a great relationship with the company and no issues. I don't know. I'm disappointed that they can't provide the service and I'm questioning about not "getting enough chemicals." Avoid. He put our pool filter in wrong. There were 2 connections. In and Out written on the filter in black ink. And Wesley put them in wrong. For 2 1/2 months the swimming pool never got clean. The original company my home warranty sent was inept and unresponsive. I was able to get my home warranty to allow an outside contractor and called Pool Whip. The owner personally spent several hours on the phone getting the home warranty to approve the needed filter replacement. This week will have incredibly hot weather and my pool hasn't been filtering for over a week (due to the ineptitude of the original company) and Pool Whip said they could get it up and running as soon as Wednesday. We bought a house and the pool was clean during inspection time but then quickly turned green over the next month during the closing period while they had the pumps off. Wesley came out and inspected it and the old DE filter was beyond gross. He recommended going with a cartridge filter for a few reasons and I knew I already wanted to. Within a week of running the new filter he had the pool looking new again. There are several reasons why I'd recommend them without hesitation: he seems very honest, trustworthy, doesn't try to up-sell you, responds quickly, is happy to answer any questions you have (even multiple times as a new pool owner), and of course does great work. I've only met one of his employees but he was great too. I requested a quote from a few companies at the same time and he responded within 1 hour while the others were within 1-2 days. We have been a Pool Whip customer for half a year.Best move ever. Thanks to their weekley chemical service our poolhas never looked this good. Their staff is always eager to answer any questions that come up while servicing the pool. The pool filter would not turn on this morning.Not good for the water quality when the pump is not running for a few days in this heat.Based on past experience that is how long it would take to get a technician to come over. Then they have to come back at a later date with the part. That is all in the past. My husband and I bought our first home in California and of course it came with a salt water pool. The chlorine system recently stopped working so I gave Pool Whip Pros a call to diagnose the issue.
