We worked with Anny Johnson at Affinity Home Lending for our home purchase in Poulsbo, Washington, and I cannot recommend her highly enough—especially for military families using a VA loan in Kitsap County. Before choosing a lender, I shopped around specifically for someone who knew the local market, had extensive VA loan experience, and could handle underwriting in-house to support a fast, high-quality closing. Because of our military PCS, we only had 21 days of reimbursable lodging, so delays caused by an inefficient lending process could have meant paying for a hotel out of pocket. Anny checked every box and absolutely delivered.Even before we made an offer, she spent time running different scenarios with us—comparing down-payment amounts, mortgage points, interest rates, and how the numbers changed depending on whether we eventually sold the home or kept it as a rental. She is exceptionally good with numbers and was able to access competitive rates through UWM that beat the direct lenders we compared.Once our offer was accepted, her team moved incredibly fast. Underwriting was completed in two days, the VA appraisal was scheduled immediately, and she kept the entire process moving without making it feel rushed or stressful. Our Kitsap County real estate team works with a large number of lenders and specifically commented on how fast and responsive Anny and her team were. Her communication may be the most impressive part. Early morning, late evening, phone, text, or email—Anny was consistently available to run numbers or answer questions. She customized preapproval/offer letters for individual homes and somehow responded to texts and emails almost instantly. The longest we ever waited for a phone call was about 30 minutes because she was helping another client, and she immediately texted to let us know. She also helped us buy down our interest rate with lender credits/points, creating significant long-term savings on our 30-year mortgage. We ultimately went under contract on July 22 and closed August 7—just 16 days later. That speed saved us real money in lodging costs and made our PCS significantly easier. If you are looking for a VA loan lender in Poulsbo, Silverdale, Bremerton, or anywhere in Kitsap County, particularly if you are military and PCSing to the Naval Base Kitsap area, Anny Johnson should be at the top of your list. Outstanding service from start to finish.
