Clarissa was awesome! She was able to fit me in so quickly when I was referred to her for the first time. I wanted purple bright colors in my hair and she did exactly that. Plus, her salon is at her home basement so it felt so homey and private to you. Like a VIP treatment. I already have my next few appts with her and will be planning to do things with my hair with her like getting colored hair extensions for the summer. So happy to have found someone who is talented and can accommodate what you want. But is just an overall sweet, loving, and kind person!

I’m incredibly disappointed by the hair extension service I received from Clarissa on October 26, 2025. I came in with a clear vision—a warm, subtle, lived-in brown look that the stylist agreed was achievable. Instead, the results were the complete opposite of what I asked for. The extensions were stark white and almost black in places, with no blending at all. It looked nothing like the reference photo I provided.Worse than the appearance was the physical discomfort. The extensions were placed so poorly and so close to my scalp that I was in constant pain afterward. By the next day, after gently washing my hair, the streaks looked even more uneven, and the discomfort became unbearable. I had to have everything removed by another salon within a week and they immediately confirmed the placement, color choice, and quality were all unacceptable and damaging to my natural hair.I trusted Clarissa, and instead I left with scalp irritation, breakage, and a result that caused embarrassment and distress. I reached out privately hoping to resolve things professionally, but that didn’t happen. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Clarissa for extensions. Please proceed with caution if considering using her for extensions, she charged me over $2000 for color and extensions and has refused to respond to my concerns for over a month.

Clarissa is amazing with color. I leave so happy every time. She dos a color correction on me for an important event and nailed my blonde tone! Her salon is also beautiful and I appreciate so much her flexible hours!

No one does blonde like Clarissa. She is the color queen! Love her in-home salon and how comfortable she makes me feel when I’m there. Super relaxing! She even gave me a heated mask to wear while she washed my hair. Luxurious!

Clarissa is a good stylist but the communication between us has not been good at all. I got a color correction from dark brown (at home) dye. Before our appointment, I asked if she could get me blonde in one appointment. She said she could get me “pretty blonde” but if I’m “wanting platinum white blonde it may take more than one session”. I sent my inspo pic which is a strawberry beige blonde. She sent me a thumbs up and a price. Since my inspo pic was not platinum white blonde, I assumed this meant it would be one appointment, especially because she did not state otherwise. (Before appointment or during). My appointment was 9.5 hours and I was not facing a mirror so I wasn’t aware my hair was not anything like the inspo pic until after we were done. My hair is much more orange, and my roots are white. The banding in my hair is crazy. Which would be fine if she had just told me during the bleaching process that the dye I had in before made it lift uneven. She told me the orange would “chill out”. I paid and tipped because she spent so much time and products on my hair and went home hoping what she said about the orange chilling out was true. When I told her a few days later I was not satisfied and that my hair is severely uneven, she said she was already undercharging me and went on about how she didn’t make any money from my appt, and that “she never promised my inspo pic in that day”. She did offer to fix my roots for free, and try to tone the orange but I was not comfortable going back to her. (Which is on me, but that doesn’t excuse the lack of communication). All she had to do was let me know during the appointment that we couldn’t get to where we wanted that same day and I would have been fine with that. But she never said that. I asked why she didn’t tell me and she ignored me. It’s just disappointing because I think this could have gone SO differently if she communicated to me about expectations at any point.
