CUSTOMER BEWARE
First let me say that this company tells their techs to ask customers to leave 5-star reviews on Google so that they can receive a bonus. Which is probably one of the reasons they have a lot of 5-star reviews. I originally left a 5-star review for Nate, so that he could get a $25 bonus. But unfortunately my review has changed drastically since then.
Long story short, I’ve dealt with Utah Mechanical Heating and AC since February 2026 (4 months). Their “fix” didn’t fix our air conditioner, they couldn’t identify any further issue, and they eventually ghosted me (stopped answering my texts/calls) in May leaving me with an 80 degree house and no solution.
Frustrated and seemingly out of options, I got another HVAC company to come take a look. They quickly identified problems UM could not, and got the unit working properly.
Along the way, all of the techs—while ultimately unable to help—were very polite and respectful. However, one receptionist who I think may be Emily, the co-owner, but I’m not 100% sure, was extremely rude telling me I had “unrealistic expectations,” and when I said my expectations were to have a working air conditioner, she told me I needed to “calm down” and call back when I was ready to be more reasonable. Keep in mind I am a very level-headed person. I never swore and was always kind to all involved. You can look at my other Google reviews. They’re all positive reviews! So this is not my norm to be leaving a bad review of a company. But people need to know …
Overall, NO. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.
