Thank you to Zach for replacing our old water heater and hauling it off and replacing it with the new 50 gallon tank and replacing all of the old and non working parts giving me extra perks as well! He went above and beyond great! I’m so happy with his work and I saved $600. So it was very affordable,which is great in these hard times! First, they answered the phone, not once, but twice, within 30 seconds, after hours. I tried to reach out to several companies and was ghosted multiple times. Then, they were fairly straightforward, made it easy to understand, and walk you through everything they do. Then, their technician Zach arrived and was willing to put up with all my questions while he was doing the tune up. I learned a lot and he seemed really cool and knowledgeable. I don't trust people easily but he is definitely easier to trust. I highly recommend them

Our AC went out while we were on vacation. Zach came out and was very knowledgeable and respectful of our home and 2 dogs inside. He found the problem quickly and even went above and beyond, repairing some faulty wiring as well. Good pricing and quick, friendly service! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Zach came out and we walked through my house and even crawled under the house in my crawl space to find roughly where my issue was and was able to give me a super competitive bid and gave me peace of mind that I could trust him and his company to do their best for me and my home. Then Emily got involved on the customer service side of things and was just a gem to work with even when I got confused and frustrated due to my own own negligence. Overall ill definitely use these guys again and I highly recommend them for everybody.

CUSTOMER BEWARE First let me say that this company tells their techs to ask customers to leave 5-star reviews on Google so that they can receive a bonus. Which is probably one of the reasons they have a lot of 5-star reviews. I originally left a 5-star review for Nate, so that he could get a $25 bonus. But unfortunately my review has changed drastically since then. Long story short, I’ve dealt with Utah Mechanical Heating and AC since February 2026 (4 months). Their “fix” didn’t fix our air conditioner, they couldn’t identify any further issue, and they eventually ghosted me (stopped answering my texts/calls) in May leaving me with an 80 degree house and no solution. Frustrated and seemingly out of options, I got another HVAC company to come take a look. They quickly identified problems UM could not, and got the unit working properly. Along the way, all of the techs—while ultimately unable to help—were very polite and respectful. However, one receptionist who I think may be Emily, the co-owner, but I’m not 100% sure, was extremely rude telling me I had “unrealistic expectations,” and when I said my expectations were to have a working air conditioner, she told me I needed to “calm down” and call back when I was ready to be more reasonable. Keep in mind I am a very level-headed person. I never swore and was always kind to all involved. You can look at my other Google reviews. They’re all positive reviews! So this is not my norm to be leaving a bad review of a company. But people need to know … Overall, NO. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.

If you work with UMHA, proceed with caution! ⚠️ I had a very disappointing experience with Utah Mechanical Heating and Air Conditioning through my home warranty claim.The technician initially misdiagnosed my water heater issue and incorrectly stated that the failed internal part could not be replaced and that the entire water heater needed replacement. After days without updates, I contacted Rheem myself and learned the part was actually under warranty and had apparently been declined on my behalf.When the technician finally returned to install the part, he improperly restored water pressure to my manifold plumbing system, causing the manifold to burst. There were no prior leaks or issues before the repair visit. Instead of taking responsibility, I was told it was a “pre-existing condition,” my water was shut off, and the technician left without resolving the damage.A second licensed plumber later confirmed the damage was caused during the original repair and documented this accordingly. I was left without water for over 58 hours and still had to pay $350 out of pocket for repairs caused by their work.Mistakes can happen, but the lack of accountability, poor communication, misinformation, and refusal to take responsibility made this experience extremely frustrating. I would strongly encourage others to proceed with caution.

This was our first spring service experience with this company. Zach was very professional as well as personable. He shared photos of all the HVAC components that he inspected and explained why each one was, or was not, in good condition. He sent us an estimate of replacement costs for worn or rusty parts very soon after his visit. We were very pleased with this initial experience.
