We have worked with Shaun Magoon and Beach Home Solutions on multiple projects since purchasing our Lewes Beach house four years ago. He came highly recommended by both our realtor and friends who had used him for major renovations on a beach house of their own. We couldn’t be happier with the quality and thoroughness of the work he has done for us!We have used Shaun on a variety of projects including a fireplace teardown and custom rebuild, deck replacement and painting, and multiple water ingress/damage problems. We were particularly impressed by a custom jack system that Shaun rigged to lift the house on one side to allow replacement of a rotted structural beam. In all these projects, Shaun and team have shown they are true master craftsmen who take great pride in doing “high quality, fix it right” work.A key reason we keep going back to Shaun is our trust in the work he does. Several of the issues we’ve had were precipitated by the original builder doing sub-par flashing/waterproofing, especially for a beach environment. When evaluating an issue Shaun always points out the root cause and explains how to redo it better or with newer materials and techniques. He provides detailed estimates, and cost saving alternatives when they exist, but won’t agree to cut corners and do something that will not be high-quality and long lasting.As a final testament to Shaun’s skill and commitment to quality work, one of his carpenters shared with us that: “He has worked with a lot of builders, and Shaun is absolutely the best … .
