Wonderful family owned and operated business! Blessed to have survived Hurricane Helene and reopened. The guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating to our group. Horses were well cared for and friendly staff. My family enjoyed the experience both the river tour and up the mountain.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with Riverside Rising Stables. Our guide was Jessie and she was amazing. The entire staff is very friendly and welcoming. The horses are beautiful and well taken care of. Not only do I recommend them, we will be returning!

We had an amazing experience with Riverside Riding Stables. Our family of four booked a weekday hourlong ride. While both of our young kids were excited about the adventure, one of our kids was very anxious about getting up on the horse. The staff were kind, patient, and caring with our whole family. With their patience, we were able to get our whole family on the ride, and it was a beautiful trip down the river — calm, relaxing, and fun! We could not have asked for a better team to handle our nerves. The horse were beautiful and well-mannered. We can’t wait to be back!

Had an amazing experience here! My kiddo was turning 6 in a couple weeks and that’s all she wanted to do was ride again and I struggled to find somewhere that would let her due to age. We did the 2 hour ride and it was just the 3 of us. We were happy to come support WNC which is where my fiancé is from after the storms- they truly need it! We had a wonderful ride and the horses that were chosen for us were based on our experience and they suited each of us perfectly

Visited here as part of my 55th birthday break with my family. They were excellent with getting my sister who had never ridden before comfortable on the horse. By the time we got to the river my sister was smiling and didn’t need any help. The river was so relaxing and grounding. We didn’t have shoes on by the end because it felt so wonderful! They have excellent guides and very nice horses. They give excellent instructions; the ride was a joy!

Owners were friendly, horses were easy to handle, looked healthy and well fed. This is a cash only business so be sure to have cash payment and tipping your guide is customary. We did the 1 hour trail ride and had a wonderful experience

I took our family of 6 there for my husband's birthday, and we did the river trail. It was so cool! The people were great the horses were great. They did a really good job at letting us know what yo do and when we needed to do it. The owners and workers were above and beyond amazing! I wanted to do the mountain trail as soon as we were done! We will definitely be back there again.

It was our 1st time here, the tips about how to lead the horses was nice and easy for beginners and seasonal riders. I was a little apprehensive at 1st, but once I got on LuLu, i was ok. It was an amazing experience. We all had fun, and we will definitely come here again the guides were really nice also! Plz tip them nicely. Support their business, it's how they're able to care for the babies! Animal love here

Well organized ride, two couples + two guides did the 2-hr Ride for $110/pp. Trail horses are dead broke and very careful where they walk. The first hour was on forest trails with slight inclines & declines. Anyone can do it even if you've never ridden before. Second half of ride was mostly walking upstream then downstream in a slow flowing river. Horses seemed to really enjoy this as it zigzagged up about 1/4 mile. You will really enjoy this relaxing ride & recommend you spend the extra $$ for the 2hr. You won't be disappointed, here's some pics, cheers and thanks. BTW, I never give (5) stars so don't feel offended.

The staff was amazing! Our guides were extremely knowledgeable and energetic. My wife was a hesitant rider and they made her experience very enjoyable. I whole heartedly recommend this business.

We had terrific time. Everyone was friendly and so considerate. Especially since I was a new rider. My personal guide, Olivia, was wonderful. She was so mature and knowledgeable and made me feel so at ease. I couldn't recommend this place more. You will have a great experience.

My hubby and I did the River ride. I haven't ridden since I was like 6yrs old, and I really didn't want to have to kick the horse or pull the bit in her mouth because I hate the thought of hurting them. They put me on Frosty who was the perfect horse for me, calm and followed the guide to a T so I only had to guide her head once to get myself around some hanging poison oak. The river was low compared to pics Ive seen here so we barely got wet (thankfully because we were not prepared to be IN the river) and because it was mostly shaded we kept fairly cool, bugs minimal and thats all a plus. Our guide was fun, gave us lots of interesting info. My only criticism would be I saw no where to wash my hands after, just sanitizer. If you haven't ridden before or in a long time, do this the last day of your trip, my legs were REALLY sore for 2 days after LOLOL - but it was worth it!!

This was an amazing experience. Great for beginners or seasoned riders. I did the two hour ride ($100 per person). Half was on the trail and the other half in the river. Guides are very informative about each horse and give you basic instructions about how to ride. Very solid horses that make it easy. Tip your guide! They deserve it. I'd definitely go back.
