We decided to support NC, SC, and TN, this year for our weekend trips since Helene had caused so much devastation. We were in between a few trail riding places but after talking to a few, we just felt like Riverside was the best option. And I'm so glad we went this route. Beautiful area, great horses, but most of all just salt of the earth people who own it and work there. They truly made it a great experience. Had an amazing experience here! My kiddo was turning 6 in a couple weeks and that’s all she wanted to do was ride again and I struggled to find somewhere that would let her due to age. We did the 2 hour ride and it was just the 3 of us. We were happy to come support WNC which is where my fiancé is from after the storms- they truly need it! We had a wonderful ride and the horses that were chosen for us were based on our experience and they suited each of us perfectly Less

Absolutely loved Riverside 😍 staff was super friendly and atmosphere was comfy and clean. Horses were well trained and a joy to ride. We had 2 amazing young guides with us that made the ride even better. Visited here as part of my 55th birthday break with my family. They were excellent with getting my sister who had never ridden before comfortable on the horse. By the time we got to the river my sister was smiling and didn’t need any help. The river was so relaxing and grounding. We didn’t have shoes on by the end because it felt so wonderful! They have excellent guides and very nice horses. They give excellent instructions; the ride was a joy! Less

We drove out today from Huntersville, NC and had an awesome time!! The staff there was amazing, the horses are all well cared for, and the barns are clean and efficient. I hope to go again in the fall. Highly recommended!! Well worth the drive. Less

My granddaughter and her best friend enjoyed their ride at Riverside.Folks at Riverside Stables were wonderful…girls were in first group of the day-this is a family run stable-before first ride of the day, everyone circled up for the family’s traditional morning prayer. The dad gave thanks for their blessings and asked for a safe day of trail riding.Great place in the Lake Lure area for riding…their stables are picturesque and you can tell their horses are well-loved and pampered! It was our 16th wedding anniversary and my husband knows how much I love horses. It was my first time ever riding one and the staff was so accommodating. I rode Sugarbear and she was so gentle. The owner(daddy) was such a gem. I thought at one point he was gonna start praying(which would’ve been fine with me) he gave us some pointers and we done exactly as told. The ride was great. Our entire family of 6 went there and had the best times of our lives. Youngest was 10 and oldest was 48. The guides weren’t too strict, were very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Went horseback riding for our anniversary and absolutely had a blast! We did the river ride and it was so relaxing, peaceful and beautiful. Our guides were beyond spectacular and the owners were amazing. He is very knowledgeable, very patient and puts his life and has faith in our Lord and Savior. We had a group of 7. All different ages. Had the best guides!! The horses knew what to do because some of us didn’t. We enjoyed the ride down the stream. You definitely need to try this activity! We will do it again! Less
