I've just completed the Breath Resilience Instructor Training (BRIT) with Martin and I honestly can't recommend it highly enough. Some of the science can be quite complex, but Martin has a brilliant way of explaining things so they actually make sense and you can apply them in practice.I particularly loved the personal sessions and the additional integration sessions, where I could ask questions, explore real client situations and deepen my understanding.Martin is incredibly knowledgeable, supportive and genuinely invested in helping you become a better practitioner.I've learnt so much, grown in confidence and feel I've really developed my skills as a coach.Absolutely 100% value for money. Five stars from me! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I came into the BRIT course with a solid foundation in breathwork, having trained with a number of facilitators over the years. What I was really looking for was a way to bring all that knowledge together into a clear, evidence-based structure that I could confidently apply across different groups and settings.Martin’s course delivered exactly that, and more. It not only helped me bring structure and clarity to my existing knowledge but also deepened my understanding of the latest science behind breathwork, moving beyond simply knowing that it works to really understanding why and how it works. For me, it was an incredibly valuable and timely course that brought everything together beautifully. Martin’s depth of knowledge and approach to teaching made it such a worthwhile experience. Highly recommended, even for those with an existing background in breathwork. Dan

I came into the Breath Science Practitioner Certification already certified in functional breathing with other international schools and with 15 years in high-performance coaching. Even so, this course raised my standard more than anything I had done before.Martin teaches respiratory physiology with real depth, and, just as important, he is honest about what the evidence does and does not support. He doesn't sell simple stories. He shows you exactly what the evidence supports, and that has changed how I assess and explain breathing to my clients. The frameworks (SABRES, ERSIE, Restore-Regulate-Resilience) are practical and ready to use with real clients, from stressed executives to athletes. The live calls in a small cohort and the detailed feedback on the case studies made the learning personal. The focus on safety, scope of practice and knowing when to refer is something I wish every breathwork course had.If you work with breathing and want to go beyond techniques into rigorous, applied science, this is the course. Thank you, Martin.

I have just completed the Breath Science Certification. As a Somatic Breath Practitioner already, I was looking to deepen my understanding of the breath through the psychophysiology element of this course. This course ended up far exceeding my expectations and took my knowledge, understanding and practice to a whole new level. It has given me a deeper understanding of the science and, importantly, how to apply that knowledge in practice. I feel I have developed from a practitioner into a much more knowledgeable, evidence informed breath coach, with a far greater depth and confidence in how I work with clients. Excellent course, very reasonably priced, delivered by a very knowledgeable guy. Highly recommend.

Before finding the School of Breath Science, I had completed several different Breathwork certifications, yet I still didn’t feel confident in the depth of my understanding. When I first discovered Breathwork, the experience was profound. I knew I needed to understand what had happened and why. I also wanted others to experience what I had felt and how much it had helped me, so I became a Facilitator. It wasn’t until I found Martin and the School of Breath Science that I began to realise just how much I didn’t know.I understood that the breath could have an enormous impact on someone’s life because it had profoundly affected mine. I also knew that this level of influence and responsibility demanded more from me.I wanted to move beyond facilitating Breathwork experiences and develop the deeper knowledge, reasoning and professional judgement required. A powerful experience is that... an experience, but supporting meaningful, lasting change is what I wanted to cultivate.Completing the Breath Science Practitioner Certification with Martin has been one of the most challenging and rewarding learning experiences I have undertaken.Martin doesn’t simply teach breathing techniques. He teaches you how to think critically, question assumptions and consider the wider physiological, mechanical and behavioural context of Breath and the person in front of you.The depth of knowledge and practitioner confidence I have gained has been invaluable. I particularly appreciate Martin’s ability to make complex science understandable while encouraging independent thinking rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach. At the beginning of the course, I felt a little out of my depth because I didn’t come from a science background. So, I doubled down on my study, supported by the extensive resources available through the School.I completed the certification with a much stronger professional identity and the confidence to work in a way that is science-led, person-centred, safety-conscious and firmly within scope.I am incredibly grateful to Martin for the standard he sets, the community he has created and the care he brings to developing responsible Breath Science Practitioners.I highly recommend the School of Breath Science to anyone seeking genuine depth rather than another surface-level Breathwork qualification.Martin is levelling up the entire Breathwork arena. This is Breathwork grounded in science and strong ethics. It asks more of us.After completing this training, I am incredibly proud to call myself a Breath Science Practitioner, not simply a Breathwork facilitator.Deeply grateful. The School of Breath Science has strengthened my commitment to continuous curiosity, critical thinking and ongoing education. This certification may be complete, but the learning certainly isn’t.

The course was amazing really opened my eyes to breathwork and the science behind it. I did find the course hard with having no science background, but absolutely loved every miniute of it. I have learnt so much about mysel, grown as a person and gained a much better understanding of myself, breathwork and the science behind it.It is the hardest thing i have ever done but also one of the best things, what a challange. I wil definaltly be putting the 3R's into my practice. 100 percent recommend the course. Will also be looking at the breath practitioner certification moving into next year, just having a little break for now.

Having completed the Breath Resilience Instructor Training through School of Breath Science, I have been thoroughly impressed with Martin’s subject matter expertise and the ability to train practitioners in both understanding the science behind the interventions and the ability to discern the most beneficial tool to use in each unique step of the client’s journey based on what they need most.It has been transformative in my coaching practice, enabling me to help clients create more meaningful change for themselves, and has given me great value in the interpretation and management of my own life challenges with an enhanced ability to self-regulate.
