We had an outstanding experience with Tall Oaks Landscaping and can’t say enough good things about Alex and the level of service he provided.Alex replaced our existing exterior lighting and added new landscape and path lighting around our home, with everything thoughtfully designed in zones and programmed on timers. From the initial estimate through the completion of the project, he was professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and exceptionally easy to work with. What we appreciated most was his thoughtful approach to our project. There was never any pressure to add more than we needed or spend beyond our budget. Alex provided a very clear and well-structured estimate, and helped us develop a plan that worked for our current needs while also considering what we may want to add in the future. As part of that planning, he ran conduit across our lawn so that when we are ready to expand the lighting, the infrastructure is already in place. That kind of foresight was greatly appreciated. He also paid attention to the finishing details that really set his work apart. After installing path lights, he took the extra time to add mulch around them and make sure the surrounding areas looked finished and cared for. Those small touches left our property looking better than when he arrived. The finished lighting looks beautiful, functions exactly as we hoped, and the entire project was handled with a level of care and professionalism that can be difficult to find. We already plan to have him back as we continue our outdoor projects with additional lighting around our pool and back deck. It's wonderful to find a company you feel confident calling again for future work and we highly recommend Alex at Tall Oaks Landscaping to anyone looking for thoughtful design, quality workmanship, fair and transparent recommendations, and genuinely excellent customer service.

If I could give Alex and Tall Oaks Landscape Lighting 10 stars, I would. Alex did the exterior decorative and landscape lighting around my home and the finished product is absolutely beautiful. He has a true artistic eye for lighting. Everything feels sophisticated, balanced and intentional, highlighting the architecture and landscaping without ever feeling like too much. There is a real art to doing exterior lighting well, and Alex absolutely understands it.From the beginning, he was incredibly knowledgeable, honest, helpful and just genuinely such a nice person to work with. He listened to what I wanted, offered thoughtful recommendations and gave me a nice selection of lighting options without ever making me feel like I needed to spend more than necessary. His estimate was exactly what he said it would be, with no surprise charges or hidden costs at the end of the project, which I really appreciated. What impressed me just as much as the work itself was Alex as a person. I had several completely unrelated projects going on around my home and he actually went out of his way to help connect me with other contractors and resources. He had absolutely nothing to gain from doing that. He was simply being helpful, and that says a lot about the kind of person and business owner he is.I work with contractors and home service companies constantly in my line of work as a Realtor, so I tend to be pretty particular about who I recommend to my clients. I am always looking for vendors who are talented, dependable, honest and who I can trust to take great care of the people I send their way. Alex definitely makes that list. The quality of his work, his attention to detail, his professionalism and the overall experience were exceptional. My house looks incredible at night and the lighting completely elevated the exterior. I would recommend Alex and Tall Oaks Landscape Lighting without hesitation. Truly 10 stars.

I was seeking landscape lighting and design for my home in Gainesville, VA. Alex and his team did an excellent job installing up lighting in my backyard. It created the ambience I was looking for in addition to added security since the back of my property can get dark and back to a walking trail. I like the additional light it adds throughout the night. The install was very clean and well thawed out. Highly recommend!

Alex and his crew did an amazing job on the outdoor lighting at my home. From the initial consult, where he came out in the evening so I could actually see what the lights would look like in the dark, to the install on a humid, 95+ degree day, everything went perfectly. Alex readily answered every single question I had, his crew was polite and worked around my existing landscaping without damaging anything, and before they left they cleaned up everything so you wouldn't know they'd even been there.......except for the gorgeous lighting around the house. 100% recommend!

Simply put, Alex does high quality work all around! From initial communication, to installation, and follow-up after installation, it has been great and seamless working with Alex. Organization and installation was timely and quick, and the lights look great! We had several up lights, a path light, and an up light under a Japanese maple installed in Falls Church, VA. The lights really added a nice pop of dimension to the façade of our house. If you are thinking of having landscape lighting done at your property in Northern Virginia, I highly recommend you reach out to Alex and get a quote; he does great, professional work!

Alex Asta is an artist! We observed our neighbor’s house across the street that Alex transformed into a magical lit expression of beauty! Our neighbors shared Alex’s contact with us. When we met with Alex we had a vision of what we wanted to achieve. But Alex crafted our vision with a few of his suggestions and made our house more beautiful then we could have imagined. The front lighting on the holly trees really makes the front our house stand out. A little more subtle lighting (as Alex suggested) in the backyard has created a place of evening solitude. We highly recommend Alex as his price for this type of quality service, along with his customer service is the best!

Our new outdoor lighting looks great. Tall Oaks came through!Alex showed up on time and took the time to understand what changes we’d like for our dark path from the garage to the front door. He presented a few options and we quickly took his recommendation. The work was completed in slightly less time than estimated. Upon review at completion, the outdoor lighting looked exactly as he initially described.I was shocked and pleased when Alex told me he planned to return after dark that evening to see the lights at night. He wanted to make sure the lights look just as good in the dark.We will definitely seek Tall Oaks for future outdoor lighting needs.

My experience with Tall Oaks Landscape Lighting was phenomenal. Alex is so knowledgeable and helpful in the process, it really made things so easy for me. The lighting elevated the look of my home and is a major safety feature as we live on a darker street with few street lights. My neighbors always compliment me on the look of my home and how amazing the lighting is! I can’t wait to have Alex back to help me select path lighting in the spring. Well worth the investment!
