I Would like to say this company is one of the best companies I have worked with. Iron Shield Heating and Air are very professional with a great family feel. My daughter was the one who called them because they had installed a new unit in the house where I live. I had problems with the heat not working and they were called and immediately sent a very kind and knowledgeable Tech out. He spent a great deal of time checking and also calling the company which made me feel comfortable as while they were on the phone I could hear the other person on the phone, and part of the conversation was they could not get the part until the next day. He asked the person on the phone should he keep it hooked up working like it was since he had already done the work and diagnosis but needed a new replacement part. I heard the gentleman say yes keep it at least running the way it was as it was going to get very cold tonight so he made sure he kept me with heat and said he would be back first thing in the morning. Well he sure was back the next morning and with him was the other person who had been on the phone call. I not only received great service but feel like I made new friends who could be trusted. I have worked with many companies from electrical to construction and find this company is worth the great reviews on this page. We cannot make everyone happy all the time but after having been in a business that you have those you will never make happy these reviews say a lot about Iron Shield Heating and their employees. Today Iron Shield came back to check out a problem we were having with our central air. It stopped working over the weekend and not wanting to pay the extra emergency fee some places charge, I waited to call until this morning. Today Iron Shield came back to check out a problem we were having with our central air. It stopped working over the weekend and not wanting to pay the extra emergency fee some places charge, I waited to call until this morning. Iron Shield had someone here by 12:00 and because the problem occurred within 90 days of them doing a bigger repair they were able to fix it for free. They found a zip tie around that room's ductwork (not done by this company) and they cut that off and then fixed the duct that was crushed by that zip tie. But it didn't fix it, so I called them back on 5/16/24 and they were going to send another tech out the following day, which they did. Before that tech arrived on 5/17/24, I even got a call from the owner wanting to go over what the issue was because he thought (as did I), that they fixed the issue before with the zip tie. I explained the room was still as hot as ever and he told me "don't worry, we will figure it out and get it fixed!". The tech showed up and was here for a while, taking measurements and drawing a diagram of my house and where all the vents are along with their sizes. He told me they would review all of that and see what they could come up with. Well, I never heard back from them again! So needless to say, my room is still super hot and I am stuck with it through the heat of the summer, but once it cools down enough to have someone safely crawl back up in my attic, it will definitely NOT be this company that I call...... A $59 dollar tune up ended up costing $800.00 dollars because they destroyed the blower doing a deep clean. My system before all this worked better. Should have never bothered. Still not working right and probably never will. I'll get someone else to clean up the mess they made.... More
