I'm an undergrad at CSU majoring in Health and Exercise Science, and when I started my internship at Bird Dog, I was a new personal trainer wanting to learn extra things about gym operations, coaching styles, etc. What I got out of it was so much more than that! From a community aspect, everyone is so welcoming and encouraging, which in my opinion is probably one of Bird Dog's biggest strengths as a gym. From a professional standpoint, Patrick and his staff do an excellent job of programming, cleaning, and making sure everyone is seen at the gym, even if there is a full class of 20 people that day! When I wasn't interning, I would participate in a few WODs and the comradery is incredible! The knowledge I got from learning more about health and fitness through the lens of Patrick and his gym was incredibly educational. If you decide to do any sort of internship to learn more about this space, Patrick is your guy! But for people who want to get into CrossFit or are seasoned veterans, Bird Dog is the place to go!It's clear Bird Dog values all of its members and anyone who is interested in the space/field. If you are looking to not only get into CrossFit or find a new gym, but also get an amazing education out of it, this is the place to go! Patrick will teach more than just the foundation of what it takes to be successful, and I will continue to use everything that I have learned from him as a trainer, future entrepreneur, and as an athlete as I go about my professional career!Thank you so much Patrick and everyone at Bird Dog CrossFit!
