On September 19, 2024, their team damaged my fence, including one panel and three posts. I have attached photographic evidence and a recorded statement from Corey acknowledging responsibility.Corey initially assured me he would replace the parts over the weekend if they were in stock. However, after nearly a month without communication, Corey informed me that the first batch of parts was bent and had to be reordered. After another 2-3 weeks, he informed the workers that the second set of parts was also damaged and he was seeking an alternative supplier.By early November, I reached out to Company A for an estimate. The original style of my fence had been discontinued, but a similar one was available. I forwarded the estimate to Corey on November 13, offering him the option to pay me or coordinate with Company A. Corey said he preferred to get the parts himself and install them, which was surprising, given that he had already tried and failed to order parts twice.I also contacted four other fence companies. Only one inspected the damage, quoting 30-35% more than Company A. Corey continued to push for a DIY repair and, when asked to bring a sample of the materials, said he could not.On November 21, 2024, I informed Corey that I would proceed with Company A and could be reimbursed via Zelle. Corey called the estimate “unreasonable” and offered to pay half of it or do the repairs himself. I raised concerns about his qualifications, as his business focuses on lawn care, not fence repairs. Corey claimed to have installed over 15 fences, which was hard to believe.I asked for before-and-after photos and diagrams of his proposed repair, but Corey did not respond. On November 25, he sent half the quoted amount via Zelle but stopped communicating after that. This amount is insufficient to repair the damage his company caused.I am left questioning whether this is the behavior of a reputable business. Damaging property and only offering partial payment is unprofessional and disappointing. Less
