I have osteoporosis in my spine and hips, and two wonky shoulders ( “No Spring chicken there “, I hear you say………and you’d be dead right). However, I joined SF Fitness early 2019 and I can safely say I’m a new(ish) woman!
My personal programme which John and his team devised for me is about strengthening my joints and body. They “up the ante” every 5/6 weeks when they (and I) feel I’m ready and able so my aches and pains/ stiffness are a thing of the past. I honestly feel better than I did 20 years ago.
Slow and steady is the motto in SF. There is a trainer/coach beside you on the floor at ALL times to ensure you know exactly what you should be doing…..and doing it correctly and effectively, therefore gaining the very best results from your efforts. They’re also very encouraging! (C’mon, you can do 2 more…..just 2 more) Easy for them to say!!
Now that we all have to be COVID-wary, the system in SF is, I feel, very safe. On arrival, we sanitise our hands and take our temperature. Then everyone is in a marked -out pod of their own. All equipment is sanitised before and after you use it and all the coaches wear masks.
This is a gem of a little “not a gym” Gym and if you want to make a very worthwhile investment…….in YOURSELF, I would highly recommend giving SF a try. I think you’ll find you’ll be staying! Since the very beginning, I have never felt out of place or unwelcome. Gyms can be a bit daunting but not this one.
