We recently hired Flor Landscaping for a complete overhaul of our backyard, and we are very happy with the results. It was a massive undertaking--they stripped the entire yard and built it back up into a cohesive, modern, minimalist space that is perfect for entertaining.We came to Flor with a landscaping plan, but as with any large project, real-world conditions required us to make some design decisions and adjustments along the way. We worked with Flor Landscaping on a large backyard hardscaping project in the South Bay (Los Gatos), including a retaining wall, turf, deck replacement, irrigation, lighting, steps, and handrailings.Although they were vetted through Yardzen, we chose Flor because their bid was the most detailed and transparent. They came in with their best foot forward, and it felt fair and honest, with clear line items that helped us understand how costs were derived—unlike other bids we received that were more lump-sum or high-level. Their responsiveness and professionalism gave us confidence from the start.What stood out most was communication and problem-solving. They consistently communicated before work was done, provided ongoing updates, and talked through options and tradeoffs when issues arose. The quality of craftsmanship was strong, and we trusted the team enough that we didn’t feel the need to closely monitor every detail.As with any large project, there were challenges. Our timeline extended due to unforeseen issues and change orders, which was understandable given the scope, though I felt that clearer breakdowns on larger change orders would have been helpful. There were also a few minor issues along the way, but Eduardo addressed and resolved everything before close-out, to which we were very grateful. One note for others: ask to see deck lighting options before committing.Overall, we’re very happy with the hardscaping results—the backyard turned out exactly as envisioned, and our experience with Flor to date has been a really positive one. I would highly recommend them without any hesitation. We plan to continue working with them on the planting phase and will update this review once that portion is complete. More to come!

Flor did an amazing job - initially hired them for concrete and DG work for our backyard and to create some steps for our front yard. As the project went on, we wanted to expand the job to create an entertaining space for the front yard, and so worked with us mid project to make that a reality.Their expertise and professionalism makes them a company that I would reach to again for the additional projects I have in mind.

Working with Flor Landscaping was terrific! They replaced our patio, front walkway, driveway, and several planter areas. In particular, our patio was in bad shape with uneven surfaces and a complicated downspout configuration. They solved our drainage issues and created a large, open space with subtle texturing that echoes the lines of our Eichler home. We are very happy with our new patio!Beyond their technical expertise, we really appreciated their professionalism and attention to detail. They were very responsive – always available to answer our questions and address our concerns. They took great care to understand our priorities and presented solutions or suggestions that were thoughtful and innovative. As a result – our project was on-time and essentially on-budget (we requested a few upgrades). Flor Landscaping will be my first-choice for any future landscaping/hardscaping projects.

What an amazing journey we had with Flor Landscaping!!! I don't know where to start... but from the first day I first met Exiquio, I had a good impression how he was polite, listening and cared enough to write down the details. We probably have contacted more than 40 contractors and maybe a dozen of contractors came on our site.Along the way, we hired a landscape designer (Kalman Varga Desgin), and with Kalman's blue print which had a lot of details on instructions on architectual points and specific materials...they made it real to our life!What I was so appreciative to them was their great communication and attention to details. There was a time our concrete wall wasn't the way it supposed to align. To be honest, I didn't know what was so wrong... but they didn't approve the work, so they demolished and rebuilt.The project manager Edgar was always onsite and check in. He is a bit shy and quiet type of demeanor but when urgent matter happens (always something would happen at the construction site, right? ), he remains calm and take a prompt action to take care. When he says, "We will take a look." "We will take care." He means it and I felt relieved because I knew he will do it.His team was always on time every morning at our site and they are happy hard workers. Rain (I mean drizzling...) or shine, they were there!And what I love about Flor Landscaping is a family business where Edgar, Exiquio and their younger brother work closely with outstanding communication! It's very smooth and I never have to tell them multiple times. I got to meet their father when he came to do follow-up work for our place, I greeted him. I instantly could tell the father is so proud of his sons and the sons will never put their family down! - Meaning they will keep THRIVING!!!!I understand I myself is very particular and sometimes I asked a bit extra, but they were super nice and accommodated all my request and concerns.Also, I understand the designer have tried to save money on the material for us, so Flor landscaping had to put extra work; like staining the wood... they even sanded the wood before and the fence they made is so stylish and I love it so much!I can keep saying compliments on Flor Landscaping because they are amazing!! I really miss them. If we get to have another outdoor space project, we will definitely do it with Flor Landscaping! They are so genuine, honest, and hard workers who made us so happy.We keep getting a lots of compliments for our front yard!Thank you, Flor Landscaping team!!!
