Picasso Paints Ottawa
Tanner from Picasso paints at first listened and promised the best service. He and his 2 guys did cancel many times and really were ill equipped. This was the first red flag. They used my painters tape, my drop cloths, plastic liners, you name it. At the beginning, I thought they prided themselves on providing the best customer service so I let this go.
Update!!! Boy was I wrong. I thought they were up to meeting expectations. Once I stupidly paid them in full, their true colours name through. I am now left with some patchy doors where the tops and sides of doors either not painted or painted without sanding so they are rough when you touch them. They did not have a spray machine so they tried to use a roller. That was a fiasco. It was all trial and error with these guys like they had never painted a door before. Then when they painted my ceiling they painted all over my walls where the ceiling meets the wall. Another thumbs down, they splattered paint on my newly installed floors and didn’t bother to clean up after themselves. Finally, while painting my ceiling they got paint on my chandelier. So instead of wiping it clean, they painted over the white ceiling paint with black paint. As the fixture is oil brushed bronze, you can see the black paint.
So I spoke to Tanner who absolutely promised he would deal with all these mistakes and poor workmanship back in the fall but went back on his word. He fled like a thief in the night. IVe been trying to get a hold of him since October. He doesn’t reply to texts (I can see he is reading them) and phone calls.
Now do I recommend them? No way. They are not trustworthy. Tanner promises one thing but won’t deliver. I’ve filed a complaint with the better business bureau. It doesn’t take much to start a business. It takes a respectable person or team to maintain a business built of integrity.
Ps. My post says I recommend them. As I can’t seem to correct that, I want to say for the record that I do not.
