This review is long overdue...We were newcomers to the SD area as of late last year. If you are looking for THE BEST dog (and human) trainers in the SD area, Kingdom K9 is it!At the time, our boy Loki was an 11 month old Malinois pup. While he did receive informal and formal training prior to moving, it seemed like it all went out the window once we moved here. New environment, new smells, new dogs. I get it.He suddenly became very reactive towards dogs and people, and it was a nightmare taking him anywhere with us, even the daily walks became difficult.Kingdom K9 was highly recommended by one of Loki's old trainers back home, so we set up the initial consultation. We were immediately impressed w/the facilty and Kahlil's methodology and knowledge as a dog trainer. You can tell off the bat how passionate Kahlil is about his talent, and he truly cares for all of his students and treats them as his own.Upon observing Loki's temperament, Kahlil recommended we enroll in his 3 week board & train package which included private as well as group training sessions. We did weekly check-ins and noticed a huge difference in his obedience after just 1 week.At the Kingdom, dog owners and their families are receiving the essential training tools and techniques to help you and your dog(s) be successful inside and outside your home. Kahlil and his amazing staff frequently go above and beyond for their clients and made us feel like family. They even cared for Loki as he was recovering from getting neutered (which Kahlil recommended to help curb his aggression) to ensure he had a proper recovery!I've also picked up Loki several times close to closing and it is not uncommon to see Kahlil himself cleaning the floors and the facility; that earned even more respect from me when I saw that.Fast forward to 2026, and we take Loki almost everywhere with us! This would not be possible without Kahlil and his amazing staff of trainers (shout out Malik & Mark). We have a long way ahead of us, and Loki is not perfect, but the training never stops...We are very grateful to have met Kahlil and the Kingdom K9 family, thankful for the bond we developed, and are looking forward to continue to train with them.God bless you Kahlil, and Kingdom K9! You deserve all the fruits of your labor!-Loki's Fam-
