We detected an issue with water leaking into our basement this summer. Hoosier Water Away came and evaluated the problem, they recommended a French drain be completed along the perimeter of the house. Despite $4500 project, water is still coming into the basement and leak was not addressed.1. Poor communication. - The work was delayed significantly on two occasions. Different crew members showed up sporadically, inconsistently.2. Unprofessional/inappropriate behavior while at the job site - employee refusing to do the job because it "was too gross". delaying until another employee would do it days later. references to drinking alcohol on the job. made references to going out to the bars after work and then did not show up the next day when scheduled. employee stated several times that he didn't care about the job and was looking forward to another job that he had lined up for himself because he was tired of this type of work.3. Suspected fraudulent time reporting/billing. - was told by owner that job would take 2-3 days of work. the employees worked 6-8 hrs at most on the job, suspect cutting corners.4. Unprofessional communication/resolution. - when I reported the issues to the owner, he acknowledged the unprofessional behavior and miscommunications regarding the plan of the project. he suggested a new plan of a sump pump. he agreed to waive all labor costs but only charge for equipment which he estimated around $300-400. Several months later, when he got to the job, now requesting at least $1400 prior to starting workI asked for a refund through BBB, but the company has failed to respond. Posting here for public information.

We had a new French drain system installed to fix drainage issues in our backyard. The crew, Jon and Deonte, were professional, communicated well, and worked hard to get the job done right. The finished project looks great.
