I can’t thank Gordon enough.21 years ago, my dad and I set out to create the biggest and best martial arts centre in the UK. We built it with strong standards and a clear vision, but struggled to keep that dream alive. Five years later, I downsized and went part time, losing faith that a strong technical school could also be big.Fast forward another five years or so. The club was small and I was deflated, feeling like the dream had slipped away… then I was introduced to Gordon.I was told Gordon isn’t about “selling out” or lowering standards, but about scaling up while protecting quality and core values. Within a year we grew to 200 members, moved into a new full time gym, and I was back doing what I truly feel I’m meant to be doing on this planet.After enjoying that stage and fighting professionally, I’m now retired and fully focused on taking things to the next level again. Back to the original vision I had with my dad. This year I rejoined his Mastermind and we’ve grown to over 350 members, built the strongest standards and facilities in Shropshire, and we’re already working on location two.My goal is to become a Top 5 club in the UK, with multiple locations, developing young talent and creating the best careers possible, and eventually even opening a location overseas.Gordon has changed my life. I genuinely can’t recommend him enough. I hope more good martial artists get the chance to work with him so they can grow what they already do well tenfold. Too many great instructors stop sharing their knowledge simply because they’re exhausted from the business side of things.Gordon’s contribution to the UK martial arts scene will be felt for generations. We've been with Martial Arts Business Mastery for about 18 months now and Gordon Burcham and his team have done things for us, worked with us and told us how to improve what we do and how we do it. The nett affect is an increase in turnover and profitability and systems and processes in place to grow our business and improve recruitment and retention. Using their staff coaching and education tools has also had a big impact on us. Perhaps the most exciting part is the monthly Mastermind sessions where we share information with other school owners to hold ourself accountable and to learn best practice. I was a skeptic for about 3 years and toyed around on the edges doing some seminar here and there. I'm kicking myself for not taking action much sooner. Highly recommended.
