He's done really amazing roof and siding work on two of my houses.

Carlos did my roof 5 years ago and it still looks fantastic. Not only did Carlos and his crew do a great job he was also the lowest estimate I received from a handful of contractors. Carlos has been to my house a handful of times to repair various issues and always does a great job. He’s the first and only person I call if I need something done.

This was well on it's way to being a five start review however I can no longer justify a 5 star rating. We hired American Side Home Improvement to do the siding of our house. We worked with Carlos. Upon meeting him for the estimate we really liked him and what he represented to us. While doing the work at our house like with many big projects experienced some hiccups. We are ok with hiccups and expect them....but when the hiccups cost us thousands of dollars we have a problem. The lack of acceptance on Carlos's part is the reason we cannot give him the 5 star rating we so wanted to give. The first hiccup.....the dumpster and the materials brought to our driveway left a pretty big hole in the blacktop. Upon learning of this Carlos did have someone over to patch the hole.....however it is a patch and therefore is an eyesore to what was a smooth surface. We were willing to look past this and still rave about the company. However this next issue is the reason I will not work with this company again as what we thought was an honest business turns out not so much. While they were at the house doing the siding there was damage done to our oil tank causing an oil leak. We learned of the leak and immediately contacted our oil service who came and repaired that same day. However because it was an oil leak it required the DEC to come. In turn we needed to have a hole dug and soil removed to the cost to us of over $5000 on top of the several thousands already spent for the siding. At the end of the job when we asked how did he want to resolve the issue he refused to acknowledge any acceptance of causing the damage and expected us to believe it was just a coincidence that the leak just happened out of nowhere though the DEC, the oil company repairman as well as the company that came to dig out the contaminated dirt all agreed that this was a new issue and was not something that has been there prior to American Side being there. We gave him many opportunities to come up with some resolution before I wrote this review in hopes he would come around but that did not happen. While the siding job was good, the damage caused to our driveway and the oil tank leak cannot be overlooked. I recommend using extreme caution before hiring this company.
