To me at times I felt watched by some of the men and couldn’t do anything about it. So I would just ask the staff at times to place me on another machine I felt more comfortable on. Pro - The location is right off I-10 and gessner! Easy to get to and leave from when needed. The office staff was good and Chelsea was my favorite. Very sweet and gets to know her patients pattern and needs. I asked for a cold bottle of water every visit in the beginning, it took maybe 4 visits out of my 15+ scheduled visits for her to have a cold bottle of water ready for me without me having to ask. The rest of the staff was very cool as well, the let me come in and start on my program alone. Both of the doctors were well knowledgeable and very helpful when providing a treatment plan. Update: I’m saddened I’m not able to see the newly designed space in 4 months. Lol. However I’m sure it’s going to be beautiful! Extremely disappointed with how this office has handled my PI case. I was given the option between this office and another, in which I was told this office was the better option of the two. Unfortunately my experience has not been up to par. I was not given a clear treatment plan until I requested to speak with the Doctor after a few weeks, in which he informed me that they do not typically give treatment plans to PI patients and that I was the first in many years in requesting more details which I found strange. However I did appreciate the Doctor taking his time to meet with me. My main issue is the communication between their entire staff and myself. I am frequently told different information from different staff members which leads me to what happened today. I was previously told by one staff member that I could not schedule a 5 PM appointment but could be scheduled for 4:30 PM and would have no issues as long as I arrived before 5. Today I arrived at 4:55 PM only to find the front door locked and what appeared as the office already closed. After standing outside several minutes while l called the office to leave a message, a staff member opened to door to inform me that they thought I was not coming and were all already leaving. I told her this was strange considering I confirmed over the telephone earlier in the day when they called me to confirm my appointment. She told me they would not be able to see me today because the staff was already on their way out. Odd considering their office hours state they are open until 6 PM but to no surprise as the office staff leaves early on a frequent basis. I was then told today that I could schedule 5 PM appointments moving forward to avoid this issue from occurring. Again, I am constantly communicated different things from different staff members. Highly disappointed in my experience overall. The staff is nice, the office is in a great location, but their “bedside manner”/service needs major improvement. Less

I have a few relatives who suffer from the condition, including my dad, who ended up in a walker.I've been to three neurologists over the years. No answers to the cause, and treatment has been prescribing gabapentin and maybe physical therapy to help with balance issues. After my last nerve conductivity test I was told "you have severe neuropathy... I thought, "no #$%^ that's why I'm here"...I had noticed my symptoms getting worse, and I began to worry about my feet feeling the gas and brake pedal while driving. My dad ended up in a walker, and I saw what that did to his quality of life.I heard an ad for HRT on Houston's classic rock station and made an appointment. I brought in my MRI's and previous x-rays. They took a new x-ray on-site. My initial consult confirmed everything I knew about the extent of my neuropathy and balance issues.Dr. Ha said he could guarantee my neuropathy was caused by issues with my lower back. Made sense to me, but for whatever reason none of the neurologists made the tie - perhaps because they had no way to fix it via drugs or surgery.Dr. Ha and Dr. Sparrow presented me with an aggressive treatment plan. Stem cell injection in my lower back, followed up by three office visits a week for twelve weeks, home therapies, supplements, and a second stem cell injection. Unfortunately, insurance considers several of these to be experimental, so my out of pocket was substantial.We agonized over the decision, we were worried I was being sold snake oil, on the other hand, I knew my condition would only continue to get worse. We decided to take the risk.Each office visit was 90-120 minutes and included "the matrix" electrical stimulation to my feet and calves, spinal decompression, and standing on a vibration plate. Additionally, twice I week I had soundwave therapy on my back and feet, plus a chiro adjustment once a week.Home therapy included daily supplements, infra-red/photon wraps on my feet (30 minutes 2x/day) and electrical stimulus foot bath (30 minutes 2x/day).After a week and a half my feet began to feel different. I couldn't decide if it was real or if I was imagining. By the end of the third week I decided I was getting back feeling. I quit being paranoid when driving.As time passed I also began to notice the stimulation therapies felt more intense - I started all of them at the highest level of intensity, but now I began to feel the intensity more as my nerves regenerated.Fast forward to now.I was hoping the treatments would at least stop the progression of my neuropathy. At the extreme end of my hope would be some rolling back of symptoms. I did not have any delusions of completely fixing 20+ years of damage.The progression has definitely stopped and most symptoms have rolled back, some considerably.I can feel the floor to a limited degree. The feeling of having pads on my feet has dissipated. My balance has improved, and I can close my eyes in while washing my hair without feeling I might fall. I can feel hot and cold on the top of my feet. I can feel pressure on the bottom of my feet, and some parts can feel more. restless leg has almost disappeared completely. Occasionally I will still get sharp pains, but nowhere near the frequency. My feet burning or buzzing do not wake me up at night. I've walked outside barefoot without pain.Do I still have issues? Yes. Is my condition and future prognosis light years better than it was? Yes.I continue the home therapies on my feet. Dr. Ha says I should continue to see improvement for perhaps the next 12-18 months.The staff and techs at HRT are top notch and friendly. For you "Cheers" fans, the words to the theme song come to mind "sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name..."If you are suffering from neuropathy, I highly recommend giving the folks at HRT a call. My mother-in-law is 87 yrs and being treated for lower back pain and neuropathy. Dr. Ha has her on a nutrition to program to compliment physical therapy treatment. She is making great progress and is half way through the initial treatment program. She’s lost more than 30 pounds so far as an extra benefit of the healthy eating program. I cannot describe the joy of going to ride a bicycle in the park after so many years. I am so grateful to Dr. Wolter at Active ChiroCare because with her care she has not only removed a very bad shoulder pain but she has given me back a "normal life" as she promised. I had neck injury almost 10 years ago and then I was told I could no longer do any sport, nor ride a bicycle nor lift weights. Nothing. For the last 10 years of my life I have lived like a 90 year old. Very depressing. Until the neck pain and shoulder pain became unbearable 6 months ago. I was lucky to be referred to Dr. Wolter because she has removed the pain within few weeks and she promised to give me back a normal life. After 5 months I have started going to the gym working out (unthinkable for me before) with a personal trainer and now I am enjoying doing what I love doing outdoor, being it sport or riding the bicycle in the park. She was very attentive to both my body language along with the occasional look of confusion when I had an inquiry. In my opinion this is a superior trait or skill to possess and use (yet I find it rarely in many cases). She knows her practice and skill set very well. Even though I am in no means an expert on the matter, she has the ability to discuss with each patient to the level that the patient is comfortable. Thank you Dr. Walter for a wonderful experience. Now as to the practice assistants. It was a very nice change to walk into a business that upon entry all of the individuals even when they may of been discussing something with someone else they took the two seconds to turn make eye to eye contact, greet you by name, some returned to their previous conversations but the ones that didn't continued courteous conversation with me by asking how I felt, verify if everything is ok. This is a very nice touch. I observed both Dr. Ta & Dr. Walter on separate instances on both visits to discuss proper form and technique to all of the assistants at one time which impressed me to see the development of future DC's. Kudos to you all, if you continue this business model you will be the most popular Chiropractic provider in the Houston area. Alot of similar businesses have the mind set that the faster they go the more individuals they are able to assist. These firms have taken the words out of what you would call quality customer care. My personal opinion and recommendation would be to anyone who finds themselves reading this review, is in need of assistance because of a limited range of motion or any alternate issues you may be having in or with your back. You should go ahead and make sure to take the time to schedule an appointment as soon as you can. You'll be happy you did! Dr. Wolter explains everything, how and why, which makes it easier to follow instructions.
