We did the 3 week board and train for our 8 month pit mix and I can't say enough good things. Mike was always responsive, posted updates and pictures on Instagram. One of our hesitations with the training was that she was going to loose her puppy personality. She infact did not. She is still her hyper, crazy, goofy self, but more responsive to commands. Mike does a great job at laying a good foundation for us to build upon. He gives you access to training videos after to continue building on what she learned, and remains accessible even after the program is complete. You can tell he really cares about the animals, and doesn't use aggressive training methods. 10/10, 100% recommend Everytime. Best investment. Less

We had an amazing experience training our dog Guinness with Mike at Northshore Paw! He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful from start to finish. Mike took the time to thoroughly explain everything, including why Guinness was acting the way he was, which really helped us understand our dog better. We even practiced real-life scenarios that trigger Guinness, which was incredibly valuable. I called North Shore Paws to help me with my long hair chiuahua. My biggest concern was that he come when I call him, jumping on people and eating everything outside in the yard. Mile came to my house and was very helpful in giving me the tools to train my dog. I am working with him and each time he's getting better with listening. Mike is very caring and loves what he does. We cannot say enough great things about Mike - as a trainer AND as a human being! He clearly loves what he does - and it shows in the final product = A super well-trained puppy :) !!Our experience with Mike and his process was nothing short of spectacular. We had no idea what to expect, having never tried a board and train with a puppy. But after his 4-week board and train with Mike, our 12-week-old puppy, George, emerged well-trained and eager to learn. He learned "down," "place," "here," loose-leash walking and how to be comfortable in his crate. Mike was super responsive to any questions we had and was super communicative overall. He sent numerous videos for us to watch so that we could learn his training techniques. When he brought George home to us, Mike spent over an hour helping us learn how to continue his training methods and left us with an e-collar and other items to help. And since then, Mike's been available for any and all questions we have.Last, but definitely not least, George seemed so happy when he got home and has been happy to return when we've brought him back to Mike for boarding. In fact, George basically ignored us and ran to Mike the minute we let him out of the car.Overall, we could not have been happier or more satisfied with Mike! Mike is amazing! He came to our home to help with some issues we are struggling with from our Belgian Malinois. He gave us advice, taught us how to train/correct our Mal and even our Lab! He didn’t just do it for us he showed and coached us through how to do it so we would feel comfortable doing it from then on after he left. He also has been very accessible when we reach out with questions. Mike really took his time with us and stayed beyond our scheduled training time to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied with everything we went over and learned. We signed up for his online course as well and it seems great! We already see little changes in our training sessions since we met with Mike! Mike was super knowledgeable and made us feel comfortable leaving Brandy for training for 5 weeks. He truly understands dogs and Brandy was no exception. He creates a bond with your dog and there’s lots of caring throughout the training as shown in the weekly videos. One of the best things was being able to visit Brandy on week 2. Anthony at North Shore Paws is a true miracle worker! My dog Rugar completed the 4-week board and train program and the results were beyond incredible. Not only did Rugar master basic commands like sit, down, place, and recall, but he also learned door manners and impulse control. Anthony even helped him with loose leash walking, which will be a game changer for his confidence (and my arm!) on our walks. I love how Anthony truly listened to my concerns and added in some teaching that wasn’t supposed to be included in the B&T- namely muzzle training! One standout moment was when they took Rugar to Home Depot for public training - talk about dedication to helping him improve in all environments! They also worked on correcting his nipping and even trained him in off-leash recall using an ecollar, which has given me peace of mind in terms of his safety. I appreciated the constant communication from Anthony and the team through texts, calls, photos, and videos - it really showed their dedication to Rugar's progress. When I came to pick him up, Anthony spent quality time with me, making sure to go over everything Rugar learned. He taught me how to use the techniques and tools to keep it going. The ‘tools’ were even included! I got them in a doggie bag, along with some written instructions and some swag to take home! 😄 I can't thank them enough for all they've done. I cannot even begin to say enough wonderful things about North Shore Paws. We have been working with Anthony the last few weeks with our 4 year old Havapoo- a Covid pup with anxiety and reactivity issues. It is night and day! Moo-Cow can focus and follow commands, making visits from “strangers” go smoothly and her walks enjoyable for all. Mike was so good with my Silver who is a German Shepherd. He taught me what to do to avoid reactivity. I honestly thought she was going to be worse with a total stranger but he zoned right in with what she needed. Implementing what he’s taught me everyday. Mike has been training our now 6 month old Rotti/shepard since he was 3 months old. Our old dog who is little even tries to get in on the training. He is passionate about his work and loves the dogs. Mike explains what he is trying to teach our dog and how we can work with him. I highly recommend Mike to anyone looking to train their dog. You will not be disappointed.
