The school gives you the basic knowledge of the language, but it is not easy, I was more disappointed with myself because I did not it much attention. However, the school is willing to work with you, just ask and the instructors are all fantastic ! Looking to start again

My first 2 weeks were very very difficult, but I am learning, that it takes more time than I had thought, Take much of your own time be prepared, they work with you, and give it a chance. Everyone at the school is willing to work with, I did reach out and they offered me so many things to get me learning. Signed up for a new class

In the past I have visited Italy 5 times. Each time I try to become a little more familiar with the Italian language. Learning common phrases prior to each trip was helpful, but shortly after each trip, the lack of continued practice made it difficult to retain much. Attending The Italian School NJ (along with a long time college friend of mine) increases the enjoyment and retention of learning the language. Our instructor, Gabriela Fossati provides the perfect mix of grammar, conversation and interaction among our small student class size. Our questions may, at times, veer off the lesson plan, but she always provides detailed answers that add to our day's learning. We are also fortunate to take advantage of her dual background of living in both Italy and the U.S., .. and to benefit from the ISNJ's broad, multi-faceted approach to teaching. Every week there are improvements in my understanding, speaking and reading Italian. I look forward to every class.

I enjoyed the open communication amongst the students and our instructor. Our instructor was very patient and thorough with each lesson. I am returning for the next level course!

I’ve been taking private lessons at the Italian School for a couple of years now and I couldn’t recommend them more! I’ve had a number of different instructors and have found them all to be so patient and extremely enthusiastic. I have attended classes at the NJ Italian School for close to two years. The teachers are excellent and present new lesson each week. They are extremely helpful in helping me learn Italian. Towards the end of each class there is an opportunity to use what I have learned in conversation which has become extremely helpful to becoming better in speaking Italian. The school has helped me become efficient in reading and listening to the Italian language.

I have enjoyed my classes at the Italian School NJ. Rather than the rote memorization that you might have had in high school or college, they teach you language you can actually use.
