My 12 year old son has attended different BJJ academy the last 4 years and we have finally found a home at Scripps Ranch Jiu Jitsu Academy. Professor Mark is fantastic with kids and very thorough at teaching and explaining every drills. The facility is very big and clean. We live nearby and are very fortunate this new academy just opened in Scripps Ranch. If you are looking around for a BJJ Gym for your kids, give this academy a try!! I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Started bringing my kids here last summer… Professor Mark really cares about his students and their personal martial arts journey. The integrated youth Jiu Jitsu and wrestling program is one of a kind in San Diego… The kids train wrestling and Jiu Jitsu on alternating days. Top notch instructors, clean space, and awesome people. If you’re looking for a place for you or your kids to train I would totally recommend Scripps Ranch Jiu Jitsu.

Our kids train here and we’ve been really impressed. The coaches provide strong, disciplined instruction while still keeping it age-appropriate and safe. They don’t shy away from hard coaching, and you can see the results—our kids are getting stronger, more confident, and mentally tougher every week. The environment is structured, respectful, and focused on real skill development, not just participation. Highly recommend for parents who want their kids challenged in a positive way. Great place!!
