Scripps Ranch Academy is a great place to learn Jiu-Jitsu.Coach Mark is an awesome teacher, very knowledgeable, patient, approachable and funny.I'm a 45 years old and with very little previous experience in jiu jitsu or any other martial arts and I felt right at home here. Everybody is really cool and welcoming.The coach helped me start getting a foundation of the basics, while gently challenging me to push myself. I strongly recommend this gym!

My first gym I started training at and everyone has been so nice and welcoming , I’ve become addicted to the sport thanks to the great coaches and training partners. It’s a great place to roll into as a beginner and as someone more experienced.

As a woman that started out in jiujitsu at age 52 as a white belt under Professor Mark Ghitman never thinking I would make it to a blue belt with two stripes never even thinking I would continue after the first year. It’s been the best thing for my confidence, my body strength and just meeting great friends within the gym. He’s an incredible instructor very calm, but thorough. His academy in Scripps Ranch is amazing. You definitely need to try it out! i’ll be 56 years old and my first competition in August I can’t believe I’m still doing it and loving it. Go to an open mat and just try it out. You won’t be sorry.;)))

Started bringing my kids here last summer… Professor Mark really cares about his students and their personal martial arts journey. The integrated youth Jiu Jitsu and wrestling program is one of a kind in San Diego… The kids train wrestling and Jiu Jitsu on alternating days. Top notch instructors, clean space, and awesome people. If you’re looking for a place for you or your kids to train I would totally recommend Scripps Ranch Jiu Jitsu.
